    Investors gone wild.

    Investors gone wild.

I thought I would do something nice for my investors. They did make me rich after all. So I made them a getaway retreat. Just a nice little island, about 20 residences, a few ornaments. Nothing too flashy. An island man-cave if you will. First night....

Altogether too much popping of the little fondant in her mouth, I suspect.

Harbor Activity increasing. Does it make sense?

    Posted: 17 Sep 2019 03:22 AM PDT

    Hi,

There are many Harbourmaster's Office specialists with Activity+ perks. Best three of them can get +85% in total (+30% / +30% / +25% from Lady Banes, Proponent of Protectionism / Hogarth the Harbourmaster, Veteran Of Trelawney / Taxman Tim). In addition, each modular cultural building has one set with +100% bonus (Eastern Jungle; Lost Cities; Sacred).

So there is a possibility to boost your island passive trade activity by +385%.

But will it get any viable bonus? Especially, taking into account that passive trade doesn't work at Cape Trelawney.

Maybe somebody could share their positive experience?

    2205 is great

    Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:37 PM PDT

Hi all, I am a returning player from 2070. I missed 1404 due to a rubbish system I owned at the time and various bugs. I was very casual with 2070. I recently saw 1800 so brought a Uplay sub to "try before buy" and I was pretty happy, but something I can't recall made it feel difficult in a sense of being a new player and not knowing how many of each thing I would need to maintain a balance etc (a few tips would have been good) so I put it down and thought "Let's try 2205 and see if all these bad reviews I had heard of are substantiated". Well I am about 12 hrs in and really love it. I like how it seems I can play at my pace, missions as wish, get board on land? play in space, or the arctic...

Anyway, I think they have done a great job :)

    Help with mods

    Posted: 17 Sep 2019 09:12 AM PDT

I'm having a bit of problems with a few mods of Anno 1800. I'm relatively new to mods, so I recently tried to download the Train Mod. I downloaded the mod loader, I downloaded the mod, extracted the zip file into the mod file, but it still won't work. Could anyone please help me?

    Anno 1800 has it's problems

    Posted: 17 Sep 2019 06:02 AM PDT

So I was really hyped for Anno 1800. I played a lot of 1404 and some 2070. I pre-ordered the game right after the closed Beta came out and wqs really excited. The game arrived and I had fun, everything was fine except some minor bugs and the lack of coop building. fast forward a few weeks and the season pass was announced. Holy shit I was excited! I bought the season pass and waited for it. Sunken Treasures is a nice DLC, adds new mechanics and another way to fill your zoo/museum which I greatly appreciate. Also we got a variety of newn items and a small story addition. Overall a good DLC, definitely worth the money in my opinion. Then the bugs were starting to kick in. Ships, harbours, trade routes - you name it. something always was broken. Botanica released a few weeks later and I was hyped. Building a Garden with various different Greenhouses in varying Sizes, shapes and stuff combined with some outdoor plants really hyped me up. Boi was I in for a disappointment. About 60% of the modules looked like uneven boobs. No unique shapes although there would have been plenty IRL Buildings to get inspired from like the Palmenhaus Wien, the Kew Gardens buildings or the chatsworth great stove which would bring a lot of different shapes and sizes to greenhouses. For a 3€ DLC the lack of variety would be okay but not for 8€ when you can get the entire game of 1404 for just 15€. Why doesn't tge Botanical garden have the same rules like in the Museum (Round building, + shaped building and the rectangular one)? With the botanica DLC came a new huge wave bugs. Duplicating Ships, Not beeing able to access club rewards and many crashes. Also there is still no Co-Op and no Statistics Building.

Do I like Anno 1800? Certainly. I have sunk over 200 hours into it amd have a lot of fun. But I am also disappointed with the lack of Game testing, the meh Botanica DLC and the lack of features that were expected to follow close to launch. I just hope that the Passage is worth it.
