Posted: 21 Nov 2019 05:37 AM PST I think my biggest gripe with the game is that it plays exactly the same way every single time: fish into cotton + clothing into potatoes + schnapps and so on. There is no variation or strategy in the building aspect whatsoever, you just do the same thing over and over again. I'm comparing it to the likes of Civilization or Caesar IV, where the lack of certain resources or a different climate would make you build and play in a very different way. Now of course you can have island's lacking certain resources in later stages of the game, but this crates the only type of variety in Anno 1800 - trading, and I find it the most fun aspect of the game. But apart from that, there is no strategy in the game whatsoever. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Nov 2019 06:04 AM PST Hey folks, anyone know, how much iron, coal etc. Eli is selling? Like, what is his restock rate / how many mines does his output equal? [link] [comments]

Effect of attractivness on special visitors. Posted: 21 Nov 2019 11:49 AM PST I get that 1750 net positive attractivness required to get legendary specialists, but how much does it matter beyond that? Like, is there a difference in specialist spawn rate between 4000 attractiveness and 6000 attractivness? I really need some trade unions, but all my influence is tied up with zoo, museum and botanical gardens, as I'm trying to farm legendary specialists as fast as possible, but not sure if there is a notable difference in spawn rate past 1750.
