    I think I'm enjoying it. Anno is one of those franchises I'll forget about them one of the games goes on sale and I fall back in. I've had 1800 for 4 weeks and it feels like it's become a part time job for me. The two I fell in love with before this were 1503 and 1404. I have the future ones but haven't had a chance to play them yet. In 1800 my mind blew up when I got to The New World. I still suck at plotting trade routes and I'm constantly getting better at efficiency. I just wanted to share how much fun I'm having with this game.

    What's the highest you can go without going into the new world?

    Kinda curious, I stumbled into getting my first investor without ever bringing anything in from the new world. I'm sure some gameplay ninja out there has gone all the way just using old world + trade unions/town halls.

    Investors and royal taxes, stack on one island or spread?

    Ok so I got to investors and my income went crazy but so did my royal taxes. I'm wondering if it's okay to just stack all investors on one island anyway because there is a cap to taxes from what I read or spread them?

    Game corruption on co-op and crashes when saving

    My latest save has been corrupted. The most recent save shows the AI bente 2x in the game and myself and those 2 ai players all have the same portrait.

    Likely cause:

    Game crashed due to display sleep bug (see other post). The non-host had the most recent save. So we had that pc host the game. According to the savedata the slave pc originally did not have a portrait. When that player started hosting the autosaves started to show a random portrait (of bente).

    Now we can continue playing with the different portrait. However during the savegame dialogue the the game starts to slow down (mouse lag) and crashes to desktop within 5 to 10 seconds.

    The only way to save the game is to press save very quickly without changing the name of the file.

    Screen sleep creates directX crash

    My game is crashing when the Windows idle timer puts the display to sleep. I have had this happen on both systems:

    1. Win 1909, 8700K, 32 GB, RTX 2070, DX12
    2. Win 1903, 2500K, 16GB, GTX 1070, DX12

    Normally my display will turn off after 3 minutes so a simple bathroom break will literally break my game.

    edit: Most games prevent display sleep, Anno 1800 does NOT.

    lategame, any point in doing low ranked expeditions?

    hi everyone,
    i was wondering, is there any point in doing 1 and 2 star expeditions in late game?

    recently i just started to not bother with them at all and only do tier 3 expeditions. am i missing out on something?

    E.G. Jean likes if you start beeing allied with Bente, so ally up will provide you with 5 likes from him. Revoke the alliance for free - repeat from step one.

    Probably unintended, but works atm.

    Mortar is bugged

    I got a Mullivann's Multi-Shot Mortar from an expedition and put it into one of the itemslots of my battle cruiser, and now i cant use it, put it again on an island or throw it into the sea. Any help or ideas?

    Sunken Treasures DLC Glitched

    I was at war battling the last AI , Admiral Vincent. I had no buildings what so ever at Bad Hanover, the queens island so naturally I lost it when it was attacked and he sunk my salvager. I was like 'what ever,' now like 2 days later after I defeated him and reclaimed the island, I no longer have the DLC quest nor can I buy a new salvager. The Queens boat is still in the harbor of the island, but it doesn't look like I can finish the DLC now, anybody know a fix to this?
