What is your favorite/ best way to make money in Anno 1800? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 06:08 AM PDT I recently started playing Anno 1800 again and I'm curious to see how many ways there are to make money and which ones you like or use the most. So, what is our best or favorite way to make money in Anno 1800? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

How EXACTLY do I find the albino animals? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 05:49 AM PDT In my main savegame in Anno 1800, I have completed both the botanical garden and the museum. All I'm missing to complete the zoo are the albino fennec and the white peacock. I have spent more hours than I am willing to admit on the quest for them and I am starting to loose it. From the in-game statistic screen (and also from the AssetViewer) I can see that they can be obtained via 3-skull zoological expeditions. I have completed a lot of those but no success. I read somewhere that those animals can only be found in certain areas, as the expedition area just eastern of Kap Trelawney (unfortunately, no 3-skull expedition has occured there yet). Does anybody know anything more specific about that or can give a source? Also, they can be obtained from Bente, Qing and Beryl via quest, ship-drop or island takeover. I got all of them into my savegame (via SpiceItUp) but no success yet. Does anybody have any strategies on farming items from AIs or any info/experience (I'm especially wondering if the AI needs to be at investor level to regard legendary items) on that topic? Is there a list of item drops for each AI player? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 06:53 AM PDT This is for Anno 1800 i forgot to mention in the title, sorry. So I noticed, that Margaret Hunt mainly drops botanical items when you conquer one of her islands and Admiral Silver mostly drops military items. A quick google search didn't really give answers, so: What are the items from the other AIs? Is there a list somewhere? [link] [comments]
Anno 1800 - Updated production layouts with silos? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:44 AM PDT Is there an updated collection of layouts which include silos at all? I've been using the wiki and this reddit thread but they don't seem to include many with silos, if any. [link] [comments]
New to the series - Does the distance from residences to jobs matter? Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:42 AM PDT Apologizes if this has been asked/answered before. I tried searching but didn't find anything. My question is, does it matter how far a residence is to a job location, or is this something I can ignore? If I can ignore it, would it make more sense to cluster all my residences together and not try to spread them out? [link] [comments]
Trade route help - how to prevent ship storage slots from spilling over Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:39 AM PDT I keep encountering this issue that is messing up my trade routes (between my own ports). An example is I have a schooner that is picking up 10 schnapps and 10 work clothes to deliver to another island, and then picking up 25 potatoes to drop back off at the origin port (one slot). What happens is that sometimes, the potato stores at the origin port are full and the potatoes cannot be unloaded. Then, either the schnapps or work clothes are not picked up, and even more potatoes are picked up which eventually spills over the 50 unit capacity limit and potatoes occupy the second slot as well. Once it gets to this point the route is basically ruined until I notice and fix it because there is no order to unload the second slot. This is the simplest variation of the issue, and obviously if I have a clipper or something picking up and unloading four unique goods from each port, it's more likely to happen and even more of a problem. How can I prevent this? One thing I've started doing, is setting a sell limit on storage capacity so that my storage excess is depleted by NPC trade ships, but sometimes even then the timing will work out where my ship hits when capacity is full. I can also have the ship just wait until it can unload everything, but this doesn't entirely solve the problem because, not only is it inefficient, but once the product has spilled over into the second slot, there is no command in the trade route to unload it from there. Is there a way I can set the ship to simply never exceed designated load amount, rather than always loaded the 25 potatoes regardless of how many are already on board? The only solution I can think of is have trade ships only transport a single product, but doing this, my expenses for ship maintenance are insane, especially if you are at war with pirates or whatever and need military escorts for all the routes. (Oh sh..) Best seed for campaign Posted: 27 Jul 2020 03:59 AM PDT Tryed to find it in other seed discussions, but there is nothing about it. Then: What is best campaign seed? Why? I'm playing on 1990 now, but it has some minuses for expert mode. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jul 2020 10:02 PM PDT I qualify that as a bug. The fact the game is not paused when you read the texts for expeditions. Basically, it leaves 2 choices. Either take the risk of having ships sunk. Or not read the text. Is that good gameplay to not bother reading the texts made by the design team, and only click on the button which gives the higher bonus? [link] [comments]
