Am I the only one who feels that this game is poorly-optimized? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 11:56 PM PDT Anno 1800 is AMAZING. It is the city builder I've always been looking for. It has depth, it is eye-candy, and it even has some combat to spice things up... However, I rarely played a game that felt more poorly-optimized than this. First of all, my PC isn't a power plant (16 GB RAM, a 9th gen i7, and 4 GB of VRAM), but it still perfectly fits the recommended requirements of the game... And I play with low to medium settings. Yet, the game lags, the UI is clunky and slow to load, even the main menu of the game stresses my system (or that's how I feel). Meanwhile, other games with similar requirements run just fine. Am I the only one having such problem? I wish the devs would do an optimizing patch after High Life and the two cosmetic packs. [link] [comments] |
Any way to keep a seed the same way? Posted: 27 Jun 2021 08:09 AM PDT I have found a seed that I really like, but would like to have no pirates. However when I remove the pirates it changes the location of the mines and such on the Island. Is there a way to make it so that the mines will stay where they are originally? The seed is 1826. Posted: 27 Jun 2021 02:11 AM PDT I'm playing kind of slow and unordered. I arrived in the different regions randomly and I think I arrived in the Artic last (and immidietly took all the island to stop the AI). I advanced through the Main Artic quest line to the point where you need the first few people living on an island. And then left it there to focus on the New World and Enbesa. From then on the Enbesan, Tourist and Traloney Questlines got all my focus. I completed Enbesan fully and am now at the point there the Iron Tower is Build and the Queen wants me to build a World Exibition. But I noticed that at some point, I don't know when, the Artic Questline disappeared. I build up Williams Island a little bit, but it hasn't reappeared so far. This kinda sucks I wanted to make one game as complete as I could. Not only is it broken now but I also don't have saves left where it's still active meaning I have played 30+ hours on this broken save. [link] [comments] |
