| How do I be better at Anno 1800: The Board Game? Posted: 05 Mar 2022 07:46 PM PST Hello! I hope this is the right place to post this! But after 10+ games of Anno The Board Game (ABG) with a playgroup of 3 to 4 players. I'm finding myself placing last in about 80% of the games. I have tried: - Rushing level 3 dock and boats - Focusing on playing the population cards in hand - Cycling the population cards in hand (tried this only one time to try to focus on gaining population and upgrading population) - Ending the game ASAP - Delaying the game by not focusing on industries and focusing on boats and exploration instead, forcing my opponents to use turns to make their own industries - Industry focused play - Trade focused play - Focusing on 5pt cards/ Focusing on 3pt cards - Focusing on tech bottlenecks (ie fur coats, cannons, brass and etc) - Varying combinations of the above. Is there something I'm missing that's causing my poor performance in ABG? Are there certain population cards that should take precedent over others? How many population is too much population? | Posted: 05 Mar 2022 07:33 PM PST So I went to go have a cup of coffee (as recommended) without pausing my game. I come back and the newspaper published whatever it'd defaulted to. Thought to myself, that's fine. Which was +10% increase in consumption and a few other things. I usually use the 3x slots to decrease consumption as much as possible. Thought to myself, that's ok. I can deal with temporary increase for an hour or so till the next newspaper publish pops up and I'll go back to my propaganda. Problem is…. I've played for hours now and it's not appeared. The newspaper tab just shows the archive. I don't have auto-publish or anything else set up. My supplies have been smashed and now I'm bleeding money as my hundreds of thousands of investors / engineers go dry. I don't know if it's actually recoverable cause I now have workforce issues. Would have to downgrade all my skyscrapers costing me hours of progress. Anyone know if this is a known bug or am I shelving Anno for a while? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 05 Mar 2022 05:32 AM PST I bought Anno 1800 from epic games and have been playing it a lot, I wanted to have more fun so I bought some dlc. Even though I bought this dlc and in the epic games launcher it says that the DLC is in my library it won't let me play with the DLC. It says that I do not own any DLC in the game, I've tried restarting my pc, deleting my game and turning off my pc and sleeping on it. It still doesn't work, it says I can put in a key but when I got it off Epic games I got no key so I'm confused. I just hope somebody has bought DLC off epic games for anno 1800 to give me some clarification of why it won't let me play with it, please and thank you [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 05 Mar 2022 06:20 AM PST Why is there no triumphal Arche in Anno 1800 like there was in 1602 or 1503 (not sure about the other anno parts, haven't played them that much). It's pretty boring to eliminate a player to just have him removed from the diplomatic screen and nothing else. Or does that exist and I am just blind? [link] [comments] | ||
