Greetings yall! Can you please share your experience with this dude? Where does the extra oil go? Does he needs to be near a rafinery? Or does the oil pops up in the oil harbor? Thanks for the answers!

Looking for advice on Crown Falls and Arctic

    Hello Everyone.

I am fairly new to Anno 1800 and would like some advice in general.

First is Crown Falls. I moved my main city from Old World to Crown Falls quite early. I wanted to ask if its a good idea to create a production island?

Crown Falls is so huge with a good amount of resources that I'm slowly doubting myself if its a good idea to create a production island. Please note that was in the process of setting up a production island and haven't fully transitioned to it yet. (I have attached screenshots)

Second is the Arctic. I have completed the arctic campaign and have settled my first gas plateau. My question here is regarding item combinations in the arctic lodge. Currently, I have zappy battery, outdoorsy grill and radiator equipped. My arctic lodge covers both gas mines on the right and I have also crafted the gritty gas extractor from Old Nate. When I remove the zappy battery, my heater is unable to reach the left gas mine.(Attached images). Please note that without the radiator, my technician pop is 892.

I wanted to ask what's a good item combination for arctic plateaus in general?

Anno 1800- Season 4 Pass Trailer

    Just lost 50€

    Posted: 29 Mar 2022 11:32 PM PDT

I tried buying the DLC yesterday, it didn't work. I tried to click the "buy"-button multiple times. Afterwards PayPal told me that I bought TWO products from Uplay, 25€ each. The DLC didn't show up as bought, I also didn't get a confirmation by Ubisoft, which means I can't demand a refund.

I now tried solving this over PayPal instead... Tho I'm not sure if I'll get an answer.

Has anyone else had this problem in the past?

Edit: Got my money back, just contact Ubisoft Support and PayPal if you have the same problem

    Will the arctic be useless?

    Posted: 29 Mar 2022 04:32 PM PDT

I know it's early to speculate, and while I already have the season pass and like what's being anunced, I'm concerned the arctic may will be useless. If we can build airships in the new world, what will be the point of the Arctic? Right now, the Arctic has only one reason: gas for airships. If the new aircraft won't require gas, or would make the arctic more obsolete, why bother building in the arctic, as expensive and difficult as it is if we can do it in the NW, where there will be more space and other useful products to be can ship to the OW? Even by placing landlocked islands, such as plateaus, it will still be more profitable to build in the NW than in the arctic.

Any hints from the developers that the Arctic will still be useful? What will not be outdated?

    What do you think, boys?

Reaction to Season 4 DLC Preview

    Posted: 29 Mar 2022 09:10 AM PDT

Ummm... I'm a little creeped out I predicted the hacienda but turns out I was aiming really low compared to what we got...

I thought we'd just get another Hacienda multifactory but that new mechanic is quite a bit better than that!

    DLC: Seeds of Change:

    Hacienda - awesome

    Poop - awesome

Island-wide policies instead of zones - awesome

More ways to produce existing stuff - awesome

Paved streets for the New World - awesome

    DLC: Empire of the Skies

    Aluminum - awesome

    Airships with bling - awesome

    Passenger airships - awesome

Connecting people with mail...? - awesome

    DLC: New World Rising

New tier for the New World (probably) - awesome

High density in the New World - awesome

    Extra ornaments - awesome

    Scenarios

    Plot - awesome

    Seasons - awesome

Quite chuffed at the amount of active development still going with this Anno - I think I peed my pants a bit.

Scared my PC will catch fire...

    Posted: 29 Mar 2022 09:20 PM PDT

I haven't been keeping up too much with recent news & updates but season 4 may tickle my fancy to jump back in after getting pretty burnt out. My question is, has there been any mention on the enormous amount of RAM the game already consumes (or at least was when I last played)

I had to upgrade to 32gb just to be able to run the game smoothly so with all the additional content coming I'd be slightly worried 32gb won't be enough...
