    Standard edition or gold edition

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 09:17 AM PST

So, with the chinese new eyear eve i'm looking to finally buy anno 1800, which i only tried with free uplay+.
Now, i'm just not sure between:

    standard edition 26€ or

    gold edition 32€.

It's not about the 6€, but how does it work? do i have to play the dlc's or can i choose to avoid them say for a first playthough?

Written setup Tutorial with lots of images, Old World and New World

    Hello all,

From several members of an Anno 1800 Facebook group came the request to write up the way I choose to buildup my cities. Just like some people on Ubsisoft forums and Reddit asked for a "manual".

In my blog have finished writing up setups for Farmers, Workers, Artisans, Jornaleros, Engineers, Investors, and Oberos and hoped I could inspire people over here too. The blogs tell about supply chain ratio's and have images of them all build up. They also describe basic decision making in managing happiness, the economy, trade routes, defending your islands and befriending the pirates.

In the categories Early-game and Mid-game you can see the video's of the buildup too. The Obero's video is now uploading and the blogs about mass producing for bigger number of investors is coming up. Late game blogs about optimization and other end game objectives to follow later on. Since the community thread is locked, I hereby decided made a separate posting.

    Enjoy ;)

    My first city

So, yesterday I posted for help with a quest marker, today I present my flourishing and happy city on my second evening of play!

What a truly fantastic game! Looking forward to upgrading my workers next to sell a Frigate to Archibald Blake, utterly hooked. Any tips most welcome!

    Cheers Anno community!

How do you solve trade ships not being able to offload goods due to full storage?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 12:04 AM PST

If this happens, ships can't take any goods for the trip back. That can be solved by having separate ships for the other way, but one really strange thing keeps happening to me - when the ship can't offload all the goods, it still loads some more of this good and it "spills" to other slots as well. So in the end I have a trade ship with all 6 slots occupied with 1 good even though it should be transporting 6 different goods.

Is there a "throw overboard if full storage" option somewhere?

Is there a way to copy a resource and put it into the new slot or just make all slots one thing instead of click + scrolling all 4/6 slots???

    Returning to the game.

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 04:08 PM PST

Hey folks, I have a quick question about returning to the game, First off, I bought the "deluxe" version at launch and sunk about 60 hours into the game during the first month of release and a bit after, but I never got past T3 (engineers?). I'm interested in playing again, but after seeing the content available with the seasons pass I sort of would like to purchase that before i invest time into anno again.

    So my question is,

Has content been added to the "Vanilla" game that would make it worth wild to not bother with the seasons pass?

Or should I just suck it up and get the pass

How do I reclaim a conquered island in anno 1800

    Posted: 20 Jan 2020 04:00 PM PST

It was conquered before I could build on it and my ships won't attack the harbor. How do I get it back?
