    Game crashes right after launch

    I have 23 hours in game and today I updated drivers with NVIDIA GeForce Experience. After that game crashes immediatly after launch (black screen -> error). My version is on EGS. Does anyone have the same problem?

    Just learned of the series and interested in buying the game. Which series of the game should I buy? Regular, deluxe, etc. is it worth the money? I am speaking of Anno 1800.

    What's that smell achievement

    I'm still missing the "What's that smell achievement" and can't seem to figure out what i am missing.

    They say that you have to use a Pyrphorian ship and burn another ship with it.

    I tried sandbox first, bought those small Pyrphorian from Anne Harlow, declared Bente war and attacked one of her small sailing ships, but nothing happend.

    I then made Bente my ally, bought a black flag and a flamethrower from Anne and tried again, but nothing happend.

    I then started campaign mode, in case you can only achieve it there, but i don't seem to find a way to get Pyrphorian ships there.

    Warning for those thinking if DLC is worth it for co-op: It is not, because turns out that you cannot play any of the story content in any of the DLCs while in multiplayer. Not even if you are playing in a single faction.

    All you get for the DLCs are the extra islands. Even the DLC (The passage), that came WITH the hyped up co-op feature, actually doesn´t have any content that works. This is a pretty outrageous oversight and I´d even call this fraud because of the way it´s not mentioned clearly AND how it´s paired with the co-op feature release.

    In all of the expansion sessions, you are just given all the things you would normally do quests for. From there on you just get randomized quests.

    Game needs a "veteran" mode to make late game more challenging and relevant

    I wish the game was more difficult after investors. Once you reach investors the game becomes trivial. You don't need to worry about money nor workforce. Most of the legendary items become irrelevant because they either provide money or workforce or lowers maintenance cost which are not required. I feel the game needs a more difficult "veteran" mode setting where money and workforce is not so easily available after investors. We need harder 4 star expeditions with better rewards. Making the game too easy at the end makes most of the game mechanics irrelevant and unnecessary

    I am the proud owner of Anno 1800 GOLD edition from the epic store sale and i am looking for some cool, chill, funny people to play this beautiful game with. I live in the EU region and i was wondering if there's an oficial discord with active players.. Any options? Any tips? I really love this game and i want to no life it very hard.

    Is there a way to reset camera zoom level in anno?

    I've thought zooming out maximum then deticking extended zoom, as i assume it will reset the zoom but i need a key or a button

    Trade route issue with ships clustering

    So I've got a bunch of cargo ships running rum and coffee and cotton and all that good stuff from the new world to the old world.

    The problem is, if I leave the route unattended, the boats all clump up, leading to the first one getting a full load, and the subsequent ones getting small loads. Since I've built multiple piers, I can't use the 'wait for loading' option apparently, since it'll divide the goods among the clustered trade ships instead of loading them one at a time.

    How have you dealt with this issue?

    Looong time Anno fan? What are your favorite games in the series?

    And what is it that you love about each game, like which had your favorite soundtrack, visual style, perfect amount of depth for you personally, best campaign mode, best or most interesting AI, best combat system, your favourite narrator voice actor. Also does anyone have any experience with the Nintendo DS and Wii versions of Anno? I'd love to hear any thoughts on those too.

    I don't work for Ubi and I'm not writing an Anno article, I just love reading people's opinions on games, especially when they have many games in a series that go back many years, 1998 was the first release if I'm not mistaken.

    Any other ways to counter Mercer and his sea mines?

    I'm really at a loss here because sure, you can bring a salvager to detect the mines, but then how do you counter them? I've only seen 2 ways: build schooners to be fodder for the mines, or use mortars and their AOE to detonate them. These strategies just seem mechanically asinine to me, so are there other methods?

    Arctic quest line bug

    Playing with latest Spice it up mod.

    Just exploded through the ice but when approaching the 2 ships the next stage didn't trigger... tried everything short of buying the airship in cape trelawny...

    Tried reloading to explode the ice and doing it again multiple times but nothing's working.

    Thoughts? Any way round to brute force it?
