Posted: 07 Feb 2020 04:28 AM PST Hey, Some time ago started to play this awesome game. Really enjoyable, always wanted to play good city builder with source managing. This is excellent. Finished campaign, one continous play. Wanted to start it again but with larger map with big isles. On Anno 1404 Wikia there is advice to set up map seed 39950. So in my game it is not the same map as there is shown, unfortunately. Maybe Im doing something wrong? If there is some advice from you guys I would be grateful. EDIT: To be clear, other seeds mentioned on wikia, and other places also are different. [link] [comments] |
Don't send to many Ships at once to another world. Posted: 07 Feb 2020 06:48 AM PST So I grabbed a bunch of ships & sent them to Crown Point from Old world. Some time later I noticed they had not arrived. Went to world map & they were just leaving the old world port All 23 of them. I figured that the slow SOL's would take some time so I let it go. Check back later & they were in same spot. So while in post card mode I looked out to Sea from Old world & there they were just sitting out there in a group. I couldn't click on them. I went back 2 hours & didn't do that again. [link] [comments] |
Late game TU optimized production layouts? Posted: 07 Feb 2020 01:05 AM PST Hi everyone! I would like to know how are you managing your late game production. Do you "group" them (for example watchmakers, lightbulb makers and jewelry makers) around 1 trade union or do you split them so 1 TU is only for watchmakers, 1 TU for lightbulb... and so on. Also, if anybody has screenshots, they are very welcome. Cheers! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 07 Feb 2020 07:19 AM PST Hey guys so I'm a bit confused how to install mods. I downloaded them from Nexus and moved them to the mod folder and everything but none of them are working. What am I doing wrong here? [link] [comments] |
Anno 1800 - GUI seems to be preventing game from reaching very high fps Posted: 06 Feb 2020 02:45 PM PST I was trying to investigate why Anno 1800 benchmark is holding much higher fps than I can hold in-game, so I've put all graphic settings to the lowest possible, and started new new game for playground only. Imagine my surprise, when I've noticed that I can hold 165 fps on 13k city... only when I disable GUI with Ctrl+G. Here are some results:
Of course I tried to measure everything in fair way, so I didn't moved camera between the tests and I made sure there are no additional popups or events ongoing during the test. 25 fps difference can sounds really frightening, but I think this is only happening with very high number of FPS. When I did similar test on old save game with much bigger and more diverse city on highest settings, difference was about 3 fps (38-39 with gui with house details, 41-42 without gui). So far the most underwhelming aspect of this game is the UI Posted: 07 Feb 2020 01:12 AM PST I say underwhelming comparative to the game itself since it's so good (but as always, the more the better so I hope more contents are on the way). Anyways, I see a lot of room for QoL improvements. To list some;
Just some suggestions. Great game nonetheless. Also, this is irrelevant, but I thought this game was made by a British company but turns out it's a German game. Interesting choice there. [link] [comments] |
