In the Defence of Planned City Designs Posted: 20 Jul 2020 10:04 AM PDT [Warning: Subjective Personal Opinion] While browsing this Community, I came to the conclusion that many people here seem to be of the opinion that a City in Anno 1800 which is build Strictly following the principle of highest Efficiency and/or a Block-Design System is not looking nice, and that a more organic System leads to a better looking city. For me (and I might well be alone with this opinion), a well balanced and optimized System is inherently interesting and nice to look at. This does not mean that a City with Ornaments and Organic Shapes, with Alleyways and Parks is looking bad (it is not, it can look amazing), just that both sides of Planning and Design should be considered as the possible option when planning the next Part of your Cities. This may well be the rambling of someone with no design taste whatsoever, in which case I apologise. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jul 2020 06:53 AM PDT Obviously the AI's have their personality traits, but what is the difference between a 3 star, a 2 star, and a 1 star AI? Are the 3 star AI's smarter? Do they get lower upkeep costs? Do their citizens generate more money than mine? [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jul 2020 08:38 AM PDT Hey guys. I'm playing Anno since 1404, but I've literally never focused on building. I was always min/maxing. Now I'll like to change it and focus on look of my cities. Do you know any Youtubers which focus on aesthetic? [link] [comments]
Few questions about public moorings Posted: 19 Jul 2020 04:59 PM PDT
I have tried to google for my questions, but unfortunetley I couldn't find anything relevant (apart from what i stated above) [link] [comments]
Where can I listen to the soundtrack selectively? Posted: 19 Jul 2020 12:53 PM PDT I've heard enough fire and riot music. If I hear another workers rights line I'm gonna shove em. Just want to hear the good stuff. Also there's a piece that came out in 2020 with Bright Harvest with a high cello solo. What is that one called? [link] [comments]
Just 2 animals to go! Where do I get them? Posted: 19 Jul 2020 02:04 PM PDT Hi! After almost 200 hours of playing my current session, I am 2 animals away from completing my cultural item collection(at least those that are part of a set). I'm posting here to ask if anyone knows which expeditions would get me those animals. I'm not about to start plundering the AI harbors for them, so I'm only looking for tips on expeditions. I know these 2 are probably going to drop from a 3 skull expedition, but I want to know which locations should I be keeping my eye out for? I'm missing the Giant Elk from the extinct animals set and the Albino gorilla from snowflakes. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
