    26 Pig Farms with Silos!

    26 Pig Farms with Silos!

Has anyone beat 26 WITH silos, around one Trade Union yet? Ive seen the 32 farms with NO silos.

I haven't stress tested this yet so, no idea if it's overkill on warehouses...

Is there a thread with updated silo layouts?

Edit: Oops first time on Reddit, forgot to attach pic lol!

I just spent 4 hours playing 1800 non stop and I still wanted to play more! This week alone 20+ hours. Such a great game! Thank you Ubisoft for the free Uplay+, I had a blast!

Guesses for Land of Lions building project

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 04:37 AM PDT

It is likely, that Land of Lions has a building project, just like the hangar in the passage. What is your guess what the building will be and it's purpose?

A rare screenshot + Challenge idea

I have lost in Anno !

    https://preview.redd.it/kedhn6ato5c51.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df28df80e5bcaa052340d19f5458e69505ed55e4

For whose who wonder, I set myself a Challenge. I can give it to you if someone point me to the location of the saved games.

That's an Expert difficulty game basically, vs Miss Hunt, Alonso Graves, Beryl O'Hara.

You must always be at war with everyone.

You start at Day 10, although I have saves at day 2, 4, 6, 8 for people fearing that's too much. I made a big mistake that led to my demise, probably if I did not, I would have survived and perhaps thrived, for some time.

Now, what is a day in Anno? That's basically 24 mn of IRL time (or 8 mn at triple speed if there is no lag). It means I let the game run for 240 mn (4 hours) without doing anything AT ALL. (If you enable the day-night cycle, you see the compression factor is 60, i.e a day passes in 24 mn IRL)

And then you start playing :-)

Good luck with that. Miss Hunt will start launching Ship of Lines at day 12 by the way ;-)

ps: sorry I somehow clicked on Poll and it can't be cancelled.

Will there be more futuristic Anno games?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 01:47 AM PDT

Anno 2205 came close to scratching the itch but it never did get to the point where the energy problem being solved was then used to colonize beyond the moon on planets like Mars. I think there is still a lot of opportunity there and that it would deal with some really interesting concepts and theories on how to make that possible.

With Land of Lions being done soon-ish and it having been made (fairly) clear that's probably going to be the last expansion for Anno 1800 i'm curious to hear if there's any hints yet for what future projects the team is interested in? What are the creative minds leaning towards spending their time and passion on next?

    Multiplayer on one pc

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 08:26 AM PDT

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if I could run 2 instances of the game (Anno 1800) on one computer. I would stream one via Steam, and play on the other. I wouldn't bother to buy a new copy, but my laptop hasn't enough power to run it.

    Any thoughts?

2 (small) issues after updating + installing Bright Harvest

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 04:30 AM PDT

After some time of absence, I finally got to installing the June update, and the Bright Harvest DLC.
I have encountered some issues, I wonder if these are known or if I'm doing something wrong.

    1) Great Eastern

About 15 minutes into the game after the update, Sir Archibald Blake suddenly asked me to retrieve a huge screw, and then to deliver 40 tons of machines. I did this, and received a Great Eastern in return, as well as Rohit Bhargava who should enable building the ships (even though I already had 5 of him somehow, without realising).

I placed him in a Harbourmaster's Office, but neither the sailing shipyard nor the steam shipyard give me the option to build Great Eastern ships... Even though that's the goal of Rohit.
What am I doing wrong? [PS I know there is a mod that activates building it too, but I want to play the game with only ornamental mods and no "cheat" mods]

    2) electricity

I was told the new update included the option to remove the ugly electricity poles and cables. But that option is nowhere to be found in the settings menu...
Up to now I've been using the MOD that changes them into lightposts. I turned that off before trying to find the in game option.

Did I read something bad and is that option simply not available, or does it exist but am I looking in the wrong place? If it does exist, does it simply remove the poles and keep street empty, or does it also add lightposts?

I have no problem continuing to use the MOD, but in game options always have my preference :)

Income Question: Happy farmers vs unhappy workers

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 04:02 PM PDT

I'm wondering if it is profitable to upgrade farmers that have all their luxury needs met to workers, knowing I won't be able to provide their goods (e.g. sausages) on that island?

Would I make more money by upgrading the farmers to unhappy workers or is it better to just keep them as the happy farmers that they are?

    Anno 1404 Gold ship

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 04:33 PM PDT

How many of you have achieved the Gold ship in Anno 1404? I have been playing it since the release with occasional breaks but after so many years I am now convinced I will be getting the Gold ship by the end of the summer. I'm excited for it, because I've heard it is extremely rare. Who else got it?

    Using warehouses to supply production

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 04:47 PM PDT

So I finally got 1800 - huge fan of the series and obviously I've been obsessed, playing for 12 hours straight.

Anyway I've been trying to use warehouses to supply production facilities and I'm wondering if this is constraining my supply chain on certain items. Example: I group all sheep farms together in the country and the wool goes to a warehouse. In the city I place the work clothes factory near another warehouse - the factory just gets the wool delivered.

Is this slower, or less efficient than having materials supply to factory directly? I feel like I am building an insane number of work clothes factories and the supply never builds beyond stable.

[Anno 1404]ToolOne - Need help setting starting and victory conditions

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 03:02 PM PDT

I know I'm like a decade behind the rest of you, but this is still a solid game. The Tool One is bugging me as there's no documentation, almost anything vaguely useful I find points me to a German forum.

I can already create a map I like in the world editor, no problems there. When I get to ToolOne, I'm lost. Right now, I'd be happy if someone could walk me through how to create the starting and victory conditions. Alternatively, if there were a way to use a custom map as the base for a continuous game, that'd be nice too.
