    Establish trade rights with either pirate then automate a trade route between them and Old Nate. Buy gold from the pirate and sell it to Old Nate. You will earn roughly 4-5k per gold bar. I'm generating nearly a half million per trip with a single ship.

    Mod request

    I like to play with voices on occasionally because of Archi and O'Mara remarks. What forces me to turn voice volume to zero is cargo ship voice. It is simply unbearable. Madam Khanina is also annoying af. Would be great to have an option to disable some voices. It would be a great mod where you can choose who can speak :)

    Quick item farm at traders

    Want to start a fresh game before Land of Lions but terrified of all the items to farm again? Want to try a population record but can't be arsed spending days of pain in visitor islands?

    The game can be easily modded to choose what traders offer, and very quickly buy all the items you want. I will explain how here, it should not take more than 5 minutes. Prerequisite: know how to install and use mods.

    1. Most of the work is actually already done by the "Traders - Cheat Gains" mod (I'm not the author). You can find it on https://www.nexusmods.com/anno1800/mods/24 . It is incompatible with the spice it up mods [Gameplay] More Items per Trader and [Gameplay] NPC Dice Improved, disable them first. Note: this does not change anything else in the game, and you can safely disable or remove the mod when you have all the items you want.
    2. Now the traders will have all the items, but in randomly sorted list of hundreds, which is still annoying. We will edit the mod file to change the available items. Open Anno 1800\mods\[Cheat Gains] Traders\data\config\export\main\asset\assets.xml in a text editor. The first 260 lines increase the number of available items for all traders and progression steps to 512, we will not change them (you will have to scroll through items with the mouse wheel). We will start line 269, where the items are defined for Archibald : between the <ItemsPool></ItemsPool> tags is a list of the items to be added. We will remove the whole list, until there is only a blank line between <ItemsPool> and </ItemsPool>. Same for the other traders.
    3. Now that the list is empty, we can add the items we want. I made a quick list from AssetViewer files, which you can find on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rEfUm1RTdn40IjoA0hT8oMlhEGK23oUm1L1FDKAiF3E/edit?usp=sharing In the sheet go to file > make a copy so you can filter however you want. In column F you have the formula to add in the mod file between the <ItemsPool></ItemsPool> tags so the item is available in the trader. Indentation and spaces do not matter. A good way to split useful items in smaller batches is to filter by building and rarity.

    1. When you are done editing the mod file, save it, restart the game (will take a bit longer to process the mod changes), load your save, and the selected items will be available at the trader after a reroll! You can of course change the available items in the mod whenever you want, just restart the game after.

    Quick question about palace prestige

    Add Seat of Power to existing save game

    I'm struggling to enable seat of power in an existing save game.

    - No mods
    - Reinstalled from Uplay

    Bright harvest was enabled and I'm using that without a problem. I got to Investor tier on this save game and the seat of power didn't appear. Can I enable this in a different way - editing the save game files, somehow?

    Problem with maintenance costs

    Okay, so as the title of my post says, I am having problems reducing the maintenance costs of the higher tier buildings in the game. Currently, I have engineers in my city, and the production costs to manufacture their higher end goods are squeezing me financially. Now, I'm not in the red just yet, but the maintenance costs to produce certain goods are causing some concern since I have to keep pausing production to keep the extra money.

    I understand that Trade Unions and Items can help with this, but they are limited in their scope and range. I'm also aware that maintenance costs can be reduced through influence, but that is not feasible at the moment.

    So here's my question: Does any one here have any solid tips for keeping costs down other than what I just mentioned? Thanks in advance.

    AI Shipyard making the game crash for anyone else?

    I've got plenty of mods that are working perfectly, but decided to test the AI Shipyard and it promptly makes the game crash whenever I attempt to load into a new game.

    Is there a way around it, or is the mod "dead", so to speak?

    How do i change a production building's drop off point?

    I've got a number of production buildings that aren't very efficient in regards to drop off points.

    For example, in one place, a potato farm is directly delivering to the schnapps factory, but in the other area they decide to drop off at the warehouse first, which is hugely inefficient.

    How do i change the drop-off point of a building to somewhere else? Thanks!
