Is there any way to turn off the floating light bulb when in first person at night?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 11:14 AM PDT

I'm having so much fun walking around my city at night. Only thing that bothers me is that I am seemingly a walking light bulb, which kind of destroys the atmosphere in certain places.

Is there any way to turn that part off?

Mod guide and recommended mods for Anno 1800 (prepping for Land of Lions)

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 09:01 AM PDT

I'm new to Anno mods. I've used steam workshop and nexusmods a long time ago, but what is the best way to use mods with Anno 1800. Could someone link me to a guide or something?

Next question. What are recommended mods? I'm an experienced Anno 1800 player and don't want unbalanced mods or mods that make the game easier. If possible a mod that makes the game more balanced/harder is always welcome. Any quality of life improvement mods, ornamental mods, free placement mods, ... are always nice. I also like extra content mods a lot, but from experience in the Steam workshop some free modded content sometimes (understandably) stands out from the paid professional content unfortunately.

Anyway, I'm probably being a bit picky, just mention your favorite mods and I'll sift through them myself. Any suggestions are welcome!

I'm preparing this list in anticipation of Land of Lions, I'll start a fresh world, with hopefully some refreshing modded content and the DLC content from Season 2.

With so much focus on enbesa story experience, have they "fixed" the unfortunate fact that trelawney, the passage and likely enbesa's quest lines cannot be experienced in coop games?

    Palace blueprint

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 04:07 PM PDT

I'm trying to thoroughly prepare a new game I'm going to start when LoL comes out. The goal is to pay more attention to the stats screen, not going too fast, and planning things ahead. For example, don't completely fill up with farms from the start, but leave some room for a tractor and extra fields once I have access to those (in stead of spending 100hrs deleting and moving them).

One of the things I want to plan, is the palace. My current game is modded so I can't test it myself lol but I was wondering if you can build a large palace in blueprint mode and "un-blueprint" module per module whenever you get an extra one, or if the blueprint is limited as well? That would be easier than counting tiles :)
