What to do with all of that money Posted: 30 Nov 2020 11:46 AM PST So I just finished the campaign and I'm supposed to get engineers into bright sands (which is really upset me why can't the goal be I get them to any island). Now I have 10 islands and really is getting hard managing them, I got over 3M gold/money and I don't know what to spend them on. I can't buy good reliably from competitors as they have fixed stocks so If I want reliable supply for certain good or resources then I need to do it myself by having one of my other islands produce them. charter trades don't cost much so what else can I use my money on? Red Zone of No Bueno when placing/moving Harbour Buildings? Posted: 30 Nov 2020 10:02 AM PST When moving or building structures in the harbour I'll often encounter a red zone within the water that refuses to let me place the structure. It's also consistently inconsistent and by that I mean that sometimes there is one possible spot to move it to and when moved to that spot it'll unlock new places within the red zone it can be placed in while locking out the place it was positioned at previously... unless I find a specific spot that'll unlock that previous place again. It's... maddening when placing fisheries, piers, harbour masters etc. and this red zone doesn't seem to be mentioned on the wiki but I may have missed it. Is the red zone a bug? It's consistent inconsistency certainly makes it feel buggy at the very least. [link] [comments]
I’m utterly disappointed by Land of Lions, especially research part. Posted: 30 Nov 2020 09:54 AM PST Long story short : I was expecting a lot from research / scholars, to the extent that I kinda rushed toward unlocking Enbesa for the Scholars to be unlocked. But in the end, I was pretty disappointed by the actual research panel... It has a grinding taste I really dislike, for it takes ages to gather enough research points, then ages to actually do the research. You'd think it would then be it but no. Research costs increase, and you need to increase the number of scholars. Neverending situation. All that for what? Crafting specialists I can find with PNJ? Moving oil / clay pits? Oil pits can be cool, but moving all of the spare ones on an island require an astonishing amount of investment, I'd rather build 3 more oil stations if needed... Scholars added powerful - yet expensive - modifications, only needed to expand their number, which then allow to make more powerful modifications, for them to grow and so on. It's a vicious circle but in the end, I'm not sure I'm ready for the headache those powerful modifications come with. I mean, it's already a clusterfuck in my head with the 4 worlds to deal with, I could've easily avoided more pain in my path to building a pleasant city... I've looked at those researches with interest. Now that's just saddening to realize how much more investment is needed to enjoy it. Maybe it's my « exhaustion » for spending nearly another 48h into a game, expecting many welcomed changes, only to realize it will cost me another bunch of hours to unlock half of it... complete guide to Land of Lions? Posted: 30 Nov 2020 05:02 AM PST anyone seen one.... i'm curious as to see what are all the story paths available... but not enough to go through all the options :P [link] [comments]
Feature request - set prices for goods for trading. Posted: 30 Nov 2020 06:17 AM PST It is all in the title basically. It would be great if it would be possible like in the previous Anno games to be able to adjust the prices for the goods that you put on sale. Obviously if the price is to high it don't get bought by AI. It would also be great if you could trade goods with friends for free. Now you can only trade safely if the other opponent bring the goods towards you. If the other opponent put those goods on sale (that why I can buy those goods) the AI also have the possibility to buy all those goods. I don't understand that this isn't in the game. Do others have the same issue? Maybe there is a workaround that I don't know yet? [link] [comments]
Trading route, protection + storage Posted: 29 Nov 2020 11:36 PM PST Hello there, until now I didnt do much with trading routes, is taking too much time until everything is perfect, I preffered to make everything on each island, but with higher population tiers its not working anymore so i was playing a little bit with the routes and got some problems.

Posted: 29 Nov 2020 11:02 PM PST Hello anno players ! I have a little issue with my game. I recently change my computer, and since then I seem not to be able to access my ubisoft club rewards (fountains and so on). It worked on my previous computer, and when I go to to reward in ubisoft connect they all appear with a green check, like I have them. And I should have them all like everybody because if I am not mistaken, Uplay became Ubisoft Connect and for this occasion they offered all club reward for anno. Anyone also had this issue and manage to solve it ? I am open to suggestions! Thanks, and have a good time playing anno ! [link] [comments]
Weird dream about Anno 1800's Season Pass 3 Posted: 30 Nov 2020 01:53 AM PST Last night, I had an interesting dream about the Season Pass 3. I've seen to store page of it and as far as I can remember these were listed as new content for the game: 1-Taller buildings, new skins for all public buildings. A new hospital which looked bigger; maybe we would fight against a pandemic. 2-Tons of new ships This is all I can remember... Others dream about their crushes, I dream about anno :) [link] [comments]

anno 1800 crashing on launch when connected to ubisoft online Posted: 29 Nov 2020 03:28 PM PST updated gpu drivers already. the game will launch and play when i go offline in uplay but crashes on startup when online. bought the game yesterday and played the campaign for an hour before it crashed and would no longer launch. I actually bought it to play online with a friend so this kind of defeats that whole purpose. Is this game just broken trying to playing online? Anybody experience this or fix this problem? Anno 1800: Silly NW tactic, but it seems to work Posted: 29 Nov 2020 01:47 PM PST I've played so many games and sunk so many hours into Anno 1800, I can no longer recount the names of my wife or children. They're all the better for it, I'm sure. Anyway, I stumbled upon a tactic in this last play-through that is so simple, I don't understand why I didn't commit to it before. Every other game I've run through has been a study on how much financial power I could build up by just overbuilding everything, until I had hundreds of thousands in income and hundreds of millions in the bank. But, the AI opponents took that time to settle on every island I didn't take and build up their military until I would think twice about crossing them because they could so easily overpower me. Even Wibbly Wibble Wibblesocks of Wibbleshire had Battle Cruisers while I was maxed out on a few SotLs. And then, this last time, I rushed to get to Artisans and then sent my flagship off to the New World. I got there, settled on an island, and then took all the resources (as well as the ship and resources I was given for arriving) and settled on as many as I could before any of the AIs could get there. In all, I was able to settle on 6 islands. As the game has progressed, I've settled on a few more, pretty much locking all of the AIs out of progressing (in any meaningful way) into Engineers or Investors. The only reason I haven't taken over the whole NW map is because I prefer the advantages of having the AIs produce just enough that I can buy everything that they offer. They just adore me for buying their pittance. [link] [comments]

Where To Get Specific Trade Union Items From Posted: 29 Nov 2020 12:30 PM PST I've been looking for something that tells me where to get specific trade union items from, but haven't had any luck. Is there any place that says where to get each specific item from? Which trader / quest type? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Nov 2020 03:25 PM PST In my recent games of Anno 1800, pirates were completely useless during the early & mid game, they're just building ships patroling around their main island and when I try to fight them they immediately turn around (they never want to fight), the only way to make them fight is to send a single gunboat, else they'll run away. All of that making the game extremely boring and easy since I don't need to do anything to protect my trade routes. This is the case only for Anne I think, it doesn't appear to affect Jean La Fortune. But when Anne gets the ship of the line, she'll start sending single ship of the line to go around the map, but this isn't a real threat since I already had a huge fleet at this point. I've seen a lot of people complaining about pirates being very aggressive and hard to deal with. But it doesn't seems to be the case for me... Am I the only one facing that ? [link] [comments]
Products increasing, without production? Posted: 29 Nov 2020 02:35 PM PST Hello there, I noticed in the old world that in my main city, chocolate, champagne and cigars are increasing but i dont have a production on that island, neither I am sending it from the new world or buying it from the traders..
