The most repetitive post here in the last couple of months and how it’s not necessary a bad thing Posted: 08 Feb 2021 09:29 AM PST The known bug will be fixed tomorrow which means no more of the same posts. We have all seen those numerous posts and while some of us began to be frustrated, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. Let them come here, let them post about this issue or any other, and let us guide those people to anno and Ubisoft support sites so we can show what a vocal and passionate community we are, that we are still very actively playing the game and will not settle for reduced gameplay. I don't want the same path for anno 1800 that anno 2070 had. The game I can't play with some of my friends to this day because of various issues. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Feb 2021 12:24 PM PST No, not the diet. For those who haven't played 2070, Keto was a mercenary that would arrive in your map after a certain amount of a time with a war fleet and a massive battleship. Her only goal was to destroy you. Fighting her was a lot of fun, and I think Anno 1800 really needs an AI similar to Keto. My Crown Falls is well-defended and ready for a big fight- a fight that will never happen. I've had Lady Hunt, Vicente Silva, and Beryl O'mara all in the same session, and although they declare war on me occasionally, it's just not the same. (Actually, those 3 get along too well. They've never declared war on each other.) Anno 1800 already has the perfect setup for a Keto-like AI. The Pyrphorian Grandmaster could return with a battle fleet and a boss-level ship. (That could tie up the loose end about her identity anyway.) [link] [comments]
Is the move clay pit research from scholars applicable on any island in the Old World/Trelawney? Posted: 08 Feb 2021 07:00 AM PST I was wondering if I'd have to have any scholars or a research institute on the same island that I'd want to move the clay pit. [link] [comments]

Help with understanding utility of Commuter Pier Posted: 08 Feb 2021 04:15 AM PST Hey guys, recently got into the game, and really love it so far. I've finally progressed up to Engineers, and have read a lot about the commuter pier, and how you can use it to transmute workforce from the host island to your other islands. The thing is, I'm having trouble understanding good applications of this. I was thinking of having islands be mainly self sustaining, so I don't understand why I would want to have technical work be done somewhere else when I could do it where all my industry/power plants are. Can someone help me understand the benefits, and maybe illustrate some practical examples where commuter piers are really useful? Thanks so much. [link] [comments]
Which quests should I not skip? Posted: 08 Feb 2021 06:48 AM PST Hello all, I am a relative newbie to Anno 1800. I have a question about quests in sandbox mode. At the beginning of a game, I need money and so I do as many quests as possible. Later in the game I don't need money so much, so I skip the ones that are offered that I don't feel like doing. Are there any mini-story lines or similar that I am potentially missing out on? Are there any types of quests that are "safe" to skip if I don't want to do them? At what point in your game do you stop doing most quests? [link] [comments]

Do I need to have Dr. Hugo Mercier in the game to get the anarchist items to the game? Posted: 07 Feb 2021 06:36 AM PST
How hard would it be to take Beryl and Hunt in game? Posted: 07 Feb 2021 02:26 PM PST How hard it would be to play with Beryl + Hunt and some other AI with them? I just played campaign and it was pretty boring because there was never war for me. My opponents were Mercier + Silva + Malching. Now I'm looking to start expert sandbox with little more spice in it. I was thinking how hard/fun it would be with these combos: Mercier + Beryl + Hunt Mercier + Alonso + Hunt Mercier + George + Hunt George (maybe) + Beryl + Hunt I was also thinking that if I set quest frequency: rare it would be lot harder to please everyone. Also that enables me to get two 2 stars AIs while I still can keep large islands and medium influence. Mercier of course gives those nice items but he is pretty passive AI and which is huge let down. But I think he could be use against Hunt if needed? George would be hard to please because use of propaganda? Otherwise he seems to be weak? Hardest game seems to be Alonso + Beryl + Hunt but I'm not sure do I want Alonso in my game. He is too suicidal and not very hard because of that. Help me decide which AI I take to my next play. This game is going to be long for me. Maybe hundreds of hours so I want to make wise decision here. [link] [comments]
Quick question about routes and ships Posted: 07 Feb 2021 08:24 AM PST I have a clipper sending stuff from my main island to another island. When It comes back it's supposed to be empty. The thing is that I can't use the 4 empty slots on the way back because the clipper storage is up to 4, but it's coming back empty? This makes me have another clipper for something I could only use one. Does anyone have any insight or idea on why is this happening? [link] [comments]
Has anyone tried to mod the max Prestige level? Posted: 07 Feb 2021 01:36 AM PST When I saw it capped at 25, the first thing I did was look for a mod to uncap it and there doesn't appear to be one. Is it possible to do and simply no one bothered, or is it one of those things that's a pain to mod? [link] [comments]

1800: No expedition available for the new world Posted: 06 Feb 2021 02:25 PM PST Sooo I'm playing 1800 with a few friends of mine. The three of them are already in the new world but there's no expedition available for me. I already finished the expedition to Enbesa and there are a bunch of archeological expeditions available as well. The thing is, I accidentally hooked up my ship to the ship of one of my friends when I tried picking up something at her harbor. Her ship was on the way to the New World and took mine with it. Has anyone ever experienced this bug and does anyone know how to fix it? Maybe because my ship was already there the game thinks I've settled in the new world already, but I have no idea. Free build option for Anno 1800 Posted: 06 Feb 2021 01:01 PM PST So I look at all these wonderful cities that people create and I want to do the same. However, I never quite have a decent control of my games to play with things. I don't quite have the foresight to plan out a city very well. Does anyone know if there is a playable option where you have unlimited resources and jump straight into the final age, and so you can build you're desired city straight away? [link] [comments] |
