- does anyone else find it annoying that the Worlds Fair, any monument while constructing and the Gas Power Plant use the horse carts instead of the trucks even tho they are supplied with electricity or produce it themselves?
- I have in the old wold 4 Battle Groups of 6 Battleships each and in all other areas one battle group with 3-4 Battleships, all with pirate mode equipped. All shipes are placed in the main shipping routes of my AI teammates... So every 20 minutes I turn them into pirate mode ...

"No overlap with construction area" in Anno 1404, what do I do? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 07:59 AM PDT Okay this is a noob question since I only started playing Anno 1404 today. I started the game with just a ship and found me a nice and big Island. I placed my warehouse, two fishermans hut and a couple of Lumberjacks hut near my warehouse. Now I wanted to place a marketplace but further away from the warehouse, so pretty much in the middle of the island but it keeps saying "no overlap with construction area". What does this mean? Isn't the construction area the area near the warehouse? I only seem to be able to place the marketplace right next to the warehouse near the coast which is not what I want. Is there something that I'm missing that anyone might be able to help me with? [link] [comments]

Cigars bugged (not getting the product)? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 05:01 AM PDT I have a Cigar production going which has all the working parts, but there are no cigars actually being produced. The count always stays at 0. Anyone how I can fix this? [link] [comments]

AI settling other sessions during campaign before you arrive is complete BS. Posted: 21 Mar 2021 04:13 PM PDT I'm still on my first playthrough after finishing the campaign and it's only me and Beryl now (she killed Qing and Willie), so she has half of the Old world. When I got to the NW she was already there, same thing in Trelawney; no matter, I was able to claim most of the islands there anyways. But Enbesa? She already took most of the big islands by the time I first entered the region...at least the game should warn you when the AI goes to a different session so you can hurry up or something. Posted: 21 Mar 2021 04:51 PM PDT Hi, I'm relatively new at this game and every time I play, I end up going broke by the time I reach artisans or engineers. Does anyone know how to make some quick cash in this game. Also some tips and tricks would be nice :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Mar 2021 12:59 PM PDT I noticed something today, not sure how long it has been going on as I didn't use mosaics for a while. When you build a zoo, museum or botanical garden, there is a mosaic tile that can be used as connector between modules. When I try building it now, it says "adjacent building required" even when I am placing them bordering a module. I do have some in my city that work, which were built some time ago. When I copy these and try to paste them, I get the message "limit reached". When I erase one, that message is still there. The mosaics I got at the World Fair as well as those included in one of the ornamental mods are ok to place, but they don't count as connection between modules... I want to limit the "cheat mods" so I would prefer to solve this without using the free placement mod. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Trading in 1404 vs 1800 vs docklands Posted: 21 Mar 2021 02:55 PM PDT Hi there, I have around 30+ hours in 1404 already and am considering also getting 1800. The thing I mostly like in 1404 is trading. I've read lately that the Docklands DLC made it possible to skip whole production chains in Anno 1800 because you could just buy ready wares right away (after leveling up the relationship to the trader). But couldn't you just buy wares before that? From what I could see it worked similar like in Anno 1404 where you could just set up your warehouses to buy stuff from passing ships. So, what's the difference? How is trading in Anno 1800 different than it was in 1404? [link] [comments]
