PC Stutter after investors - Help

    Posted: 23 Mar 2021 12:09 PM PDT

Once I reach investors my PC starts to Stutter. I get 60+ fps on 4k until I reach investors and then even if I scale down to 1440p, it's just isn't as smooth. Any help would be appreciated. All updated to the latest version. I use mods. I don't think mods has an issue right?

Expert Campaign Achievement - Custom Expert Scenario?

    Posted: 23 Mar 2021 11:17 AM PDT

So I have some preferences for the games. Rearranging, instant visible map, etc.

At the same time I want to unlock the Expert campaing achievement. Can I still unlock it, if I start a campaign with custom settings, but expert difficulty in overall?

    Ideal monitor/resolution for this game?

    Posted: 23 Mar 2021 03:29 AM PDT

I currently own 22/24 inch monitors but I'm thinking I might want something bigger. Is it worth getting 27 inch 1440p or a cheaper 4k TV 43inch for this game? Will 27 inch, 2k be a big enough upgrade or would the 43 inch, 4k be much more epic and worth it?

I'll be upgrading my gaming computer soon and want to know which display first so I can buy the parts that will be able to run it. I want to know if 4k will be worth all the extra costs.

A third option would be a 28 inch monitor at 4k. Not sure if that would be worth it though.

Not sure if its worth upgrading at all from my current monitors. Will it actually be a better gaming experience? I'm a gaming newbie.

I want a mass downgrade button. mb CTRL U ?

I will trade you a cash exploit that makes the income from 100k investors irrelevant and is available at Artisan.

How to stop AIs from progressing to Investors

    Posted: 23 Mar 2021 02:52 AM PDT

There's a hidden requirement for AIs to progress from Engineers to Investors and thats caoutchouc.
In my game Ive found that Beryl O'Mara wouldn't progress even though she had all her population needs fulfilled. She had plenty of islands in the New World but none had caoutchouc. I thought maybe it's in the same vein how 'Chartered Company' required all luxury needs fulfilled before upgrading, so I freed up an island of mine and after she settled it, it didn't take her long to progress.

So in conclusion, if you manage to bar AIs from producing penny farthings, you can stop them from reaching investors.

There was also a post on here a while ago, that noticed the same behavior with sugar cane. I don't remember if it was Artisans -> Engineers or Engineers -> Investors, but I believe it was the latter. Sadly I can't seem to find it again.

(ANNO 1800) Using Shift to Extend Farm Fields, Good or Bad Idea?

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 08:55 PM PDT

Recently saw a tooltip in-game after an update that states that you can use shift to extend the field module amount for farms, for instance, go over 72 Modules for Potatoes.

My question is does this then produce more potatoes? or is it just a way for OCD folks like me to get more symmetrical farm layouts?

Change the layout of a village - do I have to destroy the houses? (Anno 1404)

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 03:29 PM PDT

Noob question again, so I got a village with patricians and citizens, however I don't like the layout of my village as it doesn't really look good and it's quite chaotic.

If I want to change the layout, do I have to destroy the houses and place new ones or is there a way to move the houses? And would I have to make the citizens ascend all over again from peasants to patricians if I destroy the houses?

Expert Mode - How to defeat cheating AI?

    Posted: 22 Mar 2021 03:24 PM PDT

    Hi Everyone!

So I just started my second campaign in expert mode. I gave up the first one. Here Is tarted with everyone with quests, building good relationships, etc. But after a while Lady Margaret, that witch declared war on me. We were at 40 relations, and she simply declared war without a word. I did not prepare for battles, my only battleship was killing some pirates for Rum... pretty soon she took over a few islands, and I can start again.

I noticed that the AI is cheating, a lot. So my question is, what is a good tactic for fast early development? Also when do you usually get rid of competitiors? In my previous games I was simply stronger than them, and bought all their shares. This seems pretty hard in expert, where I'm struggling with money.

I have all the DLCs, so I can use docklands too. But I could only perform 2-3 trades, before Lady Margaret devestated me.
