    Items restocking too quickly?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 12:16 PM PST

This might just be a misunderstanding on my part, but I've noticed a timer on the AI traders labeled "Items Restock in: (time)"

I assumed that meant, when that timer hits zero, the items offered change.

But often I'll spot an item I want, with 20 minutes or so left, send my buying-boat over, but by the time I get there the items have reshuffled, despite the timer still counting down.

I've had instances where I keep the shop open while the boat is in transit, just to watch it, and the items change right in front of me.

Am I misunderstanding this timer? It's been very frustrating to lose out on some desireable items because this doesn't work as expected.

    Thanks all!

    Recovering lost items

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 02:06 PM PST

Just finished the whole Docklands quest chain in my recent play through but I can't find the item that lets you build world class reefers. I'm guessing it was given to one of my ships and later that ship was sunk (I was at war when I finished the quest) and the item was lost in the ocean. Is there any way to get that item back or is this save just screwed?

    Dockland DLC and Value Density

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 07:58 AM PST

With the Release of the Docklands DLC for Anno 1800 the required Play-style for "Maximiser"-Players trying to get Huge City's has changed dramatically. While I have not yet done the Numbers-crunching necessary to optimize the Docklands here are some conclusions I have drawn so far and a Question to the Anno 1800 Community:

    - The Docklands can replace Enbesian Goods Production completely
    - Trading Raw Resources (like Wheet) for their respective Manufactured Good (eg. Bread) can save some Farm-Space
    - Buying ore to turn it into High-End Goods (Steam Engines / Cars) produces significant trade surplus
    - Gold Mines in the New World or Arctic are no longer required
    - Using the Trade System to full potential can enable significant boosts in Max Population Size
    - The Docklands might significantly reduce / eliminate entirely the need for the New World
    - Pure Monocultures of the "value-densest" Crop might make Tobacco-Farms so be the Best Coffee Plantation

Now to my Question: What is the highest Trade-Value / Area industry, taking into account Items and Specialists as well as the "Leveling Up" in Export Value?

[EDIT] Turns out producing bicycles with Bruno Ironbright and Dario the Mechanical Engineer is the most profitable way (thanks to u/Avalyah for explaining that to me)

Train rail graphical glitch (Train-Stations 2.0.6)

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 03:01 PM PST

Having a graphical glitch where my rail road tracks are off set to one side of their tile. I remember a post before that referred to another mod interfering with the rails road system when the train-station mod is installed. If anyone could steer me in the right direction that would be great.

    Anno 1800 and Ubisoft+ (DLC/Season Pass 3 question)

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 01:43 PM PST

Just wondering does anyone know if I subscribe to Ubisoft+ will I get full access to Anno 1800 with all the DLC including season 3? I can't seem to find a solid answer and the website doesn't seem overly trustworthy since for Anno 1800 it says "Additional Content for this game" and then lists all the old Anno titles instead of DLC.

    Sound bugs anyone?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 05:14 AM PST

Do you guys have any issues with the sound at all or is it just me? The soundsystem itself is fine even tho i use them for almost 10 years. Music, other games and media sounds perfectly fine except for Anno 1800 so the root of the problem is 100 is this one game and o have absolutly no idea why that is.

Now to the problem: The sound and music sometimes crackles (i think this should be the correct word to describe it, kinda like new years firework). I dont remember for how long this is an issue but i would say for at least the last 2 patches. I havent played much during those times so i cant say for sure.

Well.. does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Hardware is updated too.

    Land Lions cheevo Conciliator question

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 10:11 AM PST

If I have the bonus that one of three factions gives then I've compelted it correctly yeah? I did the solo/against kathema paths for Angreb and waha desha. I have the extended fire station range and the extra water.

Does that means they're completed correctly?

Suggestions from Mod'ers to fix my Pirate bug

    Posted: 06 Mar 2021 10:17 PM PST

I've narrowed down some of my 'Pirates not returning' bug. Seeing as BB seems totally uninterested in fixing this, I've turned to some very helpful mod makers, but I'm reaching out for any other clever modders who might be able to assist.

We got so far as creating a mod which triggers the quest for Anne and Jean resettle their islands. The quest spawns pirate monitors, they sail to their ruined island, and the next quest triggers for their 30 minute rebuild. So far so good.

However at the end of the 30 minutes, the quest is complete, the pirates say their little celebratory remark, but the pirate base remains in ruins.

I think I've narrowed it down to the game thinks that the pirates never even left. This would make sense as even with their base in ruins they still remain on my Diplomacy screen.

So the question is, is there a trigger for the removal of the pirates from the game? There must be something in the Anno data for the removal of AI's from the diplomacy screen and the game, can anyone locate it? I'd like to put it into a mod to try and fix this almost 2 year problem of mine.

    Thanks.

    Manuals in English

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 05:15 AM PST

    Greetings!

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but... I've just bought and installed Anno 1404 History Edition (Uplay), and the manuals (game manual, ToolOne manual, World Editor manual) are in german. Although I've installed the English version, I can't find those manuals in english. Is it normal?

Getting on top of my bread production

    Posted: 07 Mar 2021 03:26 AM PST

So, my bread need has exceeded the amount being produced. I colonised another island and am importing grain from there to my main island. I don't have docklands and so have started buying bread by passive trade from Madame Kahina and Archi. The thing is that I'm not sure whether that grain goes to the malt production or to the flour mills.

    Any help appreciated!
