    Saying goodbye to a 500+ hour savegame.

    I've completed the 1800 campaign and started a few different savegames, but none received as much attention as this one. Taking more than 500 of my 570hr total playtime, I'm finally ready to move on and start a new one. I've kept up with this save while DLCs were still being released, doing my best to integrate them into my existing production chains. Now that LoL is out, I've decided to start a new game- this time better integrating the DLCS from the get-go.

    There are zero available squares to build on. My investors are euphoric, and I have as many scholars as I cared to build on a map I was finished with. My game is modded obviously, most notably with Project Distinction and Spice It Up.

    I will post a few more shots of some of my favorite islands from this save another time. Wait until you see the production chains in the New World ;)

    Festivals do more harm than good

    I like the idea of festivals, happy residents organize events that provide wide range of bonuses, but in reality they can do more harm than good because of their randomness:

    • random festival starts on island I didn't touch for hours -> attractiveness of this island goes up -> festival ends -> attractiveness goes down -> newspaper have negative consequences for whole economy, long story short: festival negatively impact whole economy
    • random festival appears on island I am currently expanding -> I have to stop for 30 minutes because festival is messing up with production lines, residents and statistic screen
    • I am combining production and needs of several islands on statistic screen -> festival on one of them appear -> I have to stop extending economy of several islands for 30 minutes

    What I think could fix the problem:

    • stop newspapers from giving negative articles because of the end of the festival
    • mark islands on the statistics screen that currently are having bonuses from festivals
    • allow players to manually stop festivals, and/or stop island from starting any festivals

    It wasn't as big problem for me before Land of Lions, maybe because I was less playing on maximum speed, maybe because I didn't had good items for residents (so festivals were much more rare), maybe because time between newspapers in endgame got extended (so each negative articles have longer impact time).

    Last patch was full of QoL changes, and I love it, but I guess in such big game there will be always something that can be improved :) Any chance for some improvements in upcoming patch(es)?

    This mod adds 2 more hospitals / doctors.

    the sanatorium:

    Reach of the emergency forces (in comparison to the original) : +500

    Emergency forces (compared to the original) : +150% (5 units)

    Emergency forces movement rate (compared to the original) : +35%

    Emergency forces intervention speed (compared to the original) : +150

    Reduces sickness (compared to the original) : +5%

    Disease reduction range (compared to the original) : +500%.

    the alternative practitioner:

    ---------------------

    Reach of the emergency forces (compared to the original) : -16%.

    Emergency forces (compared to the original) : +50% (3 units)

    Emergency forces movement rate (in comparison to the original) : +15

    Emergency forces intervention speed (compared to the original) : +50%.

    Reduces disease (compared to the original) : -3%.

    Range of disease reduction (compared to the original) : -15%.

    The buildings were integrated into the original building menu of the hospital,availability in embesa.

    You can you the research institute as a timer to buy island shares

    You have to wait 10 minutes to buy the next island share and take over the island. It also takes 10 minutes to research with 10.000 engineers.

    Request mod update: Free farm placement in Enbesa

    I've been using the free farm placement mod for quite a while and it's one of the mods I like the most, since I love to have roads through fields. I just went to Enbesa and found out it's not working there.

    Could someone update /make a similar mod that also works in Enbesa?

    Why beer production chain is present in the new world ?

    I know that Obreros ask for beer but since this production chain is only available on old world, why can we see it in the new world ? Did a miss something or it's a bug ?

    Enbesa Questline stuck?

    I've completed the Sidequests for two of the three islands (rebuilt the farms on Wehar Desh and completed the Digsite at the the island with the library, I have both of their passive bonuses) but I for some reason cannot even start the Pirate Quest, nothing I can click on the island does anything, every time I try to sail a ship to there it just gets attacked instantly.

    I have no active quests remaining in Enbesa at all and some of the quests of the main line from the wiki (https://anno1800.fandom.com/wiki/The_Rise_of_Emperor_Ketema) also haven't triggered for me, and I can't find out how to proceed at all. The latest quest from the main line I have completed is "Something to chew over". I have over 1000 Elders, which is where the last buildings get unlocked so it probably doesn't have something to do with population.

    Please help.

    Both mods were avaiable at Nexus Mods and Spice it up but now they are gone

    Did the Mod creator Delet them or what happend

    City ornaments is in Spice it up but it wont work and when you look into the mod file it is empty

    Hello there Anno community, I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this and has any tips on what I can do.

    I wanted to play on my save file today (about 150+ hours gametime) but it appears to be replaced wiht a new safe file for some reason? My color changed from yellow to blue but when I go to "Load" it is still yellow with my original Avatar. Has anyone ever seen something like this?

    He wants an ancient piece of armour or sword - at least rare or higher.

    So do I really need to find a Museum item that is a rare sword/armour? I Just reached engineers and didn't do any expedition/Museum stuff so far because I started a new game with all DLCS and this looks like doing arche expeditions with rather low chance to get one. Seems way too high progress hurdle compared to the other 2 Enbesa island secondary quests.... or am I thinking this wrong?

    Should I play Anno 1404 Campaign to learn the game or will Venice: Continous also teach the same?

    I just got the historical collection and Anno 1404 comes with the expansion. Venice doesn't have the campaign, but has everything else, with extras in it. As a new player, I need to learn the basics: is this done through the campaign in regular Anno, as is standard with most games, or can I launch Venice and be taught the basics there? Are the instructions you get in Venice continuous play (easy) the same as the instructions in Campaign, or does the campaign do better in teaching you the mechanics?

    Enbesa farms free placement

    Portraits locked when starting game

    Ubisoft rewards club states that I have redeemed all of the rewards that were given during the Ubisoft Connect transition, and I have verified they are redeemed on the website, however I still can't select the redeemed portraits when starting a game. Has anyone found a fix for this?

    Hello all,

    I'm pretty new to the game and the community, so this might be something already discussed in the past. I've also not explored everything of the game (actually, there's tons of stuff I still have to do) but I see people here suggesting/speculating on what future DLC's (if they come) might be about.

    So we have the Old World (Europe/North America), we have the New World (Caribbeans/South America), the North (Canada/Siberia) and the South (Africa).

    What seems to missing is the Far East (India/China/Japan), with obvious products such as tea leaves, chinaware, rice, spices etc...).

    Did the Devs say anything specific in this regard?

    MP game crashing when building palace
