    About - Anno - Weekend Slam

    Hello everyone, I will be hosting every weekend afternoon/ evening a Anno Weekend Meet. This will be a long-term competitive game that caters to the more social players in Anno.

    Time - *Tentative
    Fridays
    (UTC+2) Germany 8PM to 11PM
    (UTC -4) US EST 2PM to 5PM
    Saturdays
    (UTC+2) Germany 12PM to 4PM
    (UTC -4) US EST 6AM to 10AM

    Requirements

    • All DLCS
    • Discord
    • Microphones / Headset
    • Comfortable with voice communication.

    Rules

    • Depending on your play-style, and preference you will be assigned a team. You may also request to be assigned a team depending on skill, experience, and your ability to fulfill that role.
    • You will not always be able to play the same team, this is primarily a pvp - roleplaying game. For game-balance and longevity we need everyone to play-together and fulfill the game-world roles as needed.
    • As the game progresses new rules and limitations will be added to each team to balance and sustain the long-term playability of the game - you must be flexible.

    Teams
    The Crown
    Team Info: 3-4 Players Co-Op. Pve / Pvp

    The largest team in terms of players and footprint. Will be assigned Crown Falls as their main island with limited ability to expand in Old World, Cape Trelawney, Arctic, Enbesa and New World.

    Goals: Build out Crown Falls, protect trade routes against the Seadogs, maximize attractiveness and tourism.

    Restrictions: Cannot do ceasefires with AI Pirates or Seadogs. No Docklands allowed. Limited expansion. Will eventually be limited to building only Frigates, Royal Ship-of-the-Lines, Battleships, Monitors and basic trade-ships.

    East India Trading Co
    Team Info: 1-3 Players Co-Op. Pve / Pvp

    East India is the world's foremost trading company with a large network of colonies. Will be assigned the most islands, but increased difficulty with trade routes. Strong use of Docklands and will be the only team allowed to use Reefers and Great Easterns liberally.

    Goals: Maintain trade network, build out a strong colonial network, protect trade routes against the Seadogs, maximize productivity.

    Restrictions: Cannot do ceasefires with AI Pirates or Seadogs. Docklands allowed. Limited expansion. Cannot build pirate, pyphorian and royal ships.

    The Seadogs
    Team Info: 1-2 Players. Pvp

    The Seadogs will be assigned one main island which is off-limits to attack and will allow players to build out their pirate fleet. Your goal playing with this team is simple, pillage and plunder. Build out a fleet of warships and try and disrupt, harass and destroy trade routes and non-main islands of the other players.

    Goals: Pillage and Plunder

    Restrictions: Cannot expand past select islands. Cannot build most ships with the exception of Frigates, Gunboats and purchasing pirate ships. Only team to maintain trade relations with AI pirates. Late game players will be allowed to build pyphorian ships.

    Qing Trade Co
    Team Info: 1-2 Players. Pve / Pvp

    The Qing Trade Company are new arrivals and are diplomatically neutral to all traders and pirates alike .. for now. With a focus on ambassadorship and establishing a beautiful colony this team is great for non-pvp, pve beauty builders. Though size is limited you'll need to establish trade-routes to compensate for your lack of production ability and focus on building for attractiveness.

    Goals: Build profitable trade network, build out a strong colonial network, protect trade routes, maintain neutrality, maintain profitability, maximize attractiveness and tourism.

    Restrictions: Can maintain ceasefires / neutrality with all parties. Limited production, small footprint, must maintain trade networks with The Crown and East India Co to attain investor / scholar needs. Limited ship selection.

    I hope this is not considered low effort. I put actually effort in creating a small list of names because I couldn't find any fun or rp style lists tied directly to Anno.

    I play Anno1404 and I like to do light RP. That way I find myself more involved in organic town planning, silencing that meta-gaming-voice in my head a bit that goes "no that's not optimal planning!". Not because I dislike the planning part, I think anyone who plays Anno has a tendency for structural planning and getting an immense enjoyment through that, myself included.

    However towns and cities in real-life are also mostly organically grown, adapting to funny laws and certain obstacles in terrain and ground that makes every village and city unique.

    Because there is almost zero story, I like to get into the mood by naming and changing as much I can possible do while keeping balance between thriving and allowing myself to deviate from strict adherence of optimization.

    That being all said, here is the list. I welcome anyone to comment yours to.

    You can mixmatch and adjust however you like of course. This is strictly made with 1404 in mind, and most are high-fantasy I would argue.

    anno 1800 startup crash #help_post

    is there any way to fix the crash during startup . when i open task manager it shows that the game is already running in background. I was even playing anno last night but i am facing this problem from this morning.

    Crash (no error) after seizure warning screen

    Just bought this game looking to really get into it, after following it for some time. Drivers are up to date, Windows 10, 32GB ram, great rig. All games run very well. However after the seizure/epilepsy warning screen, the game just drops and disappears. I checked the ini file and ensured it was set to DirectX 11... any help?
