Anno 1404 Dawn of Discovery: Wii or PC?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2021 10:04 AM PDT

Hi y'all, i haven't played Anno since i was 13 and was looking to get back to it starting with the game that introduced-me to the series, but i've noticed that there's a pc port of it and i want to know which one is considered to be "the superior version".

    thx in advance

Help me decide on some mods for a new save - I am getting rid of all the NPCs/pirates, and gearing up to do a big Crown Falls High life island

    Posted: 20 Oct 2021 09:59 AM PDT

I've never gotten all the way through the game's various tiers and stuff, and my old save is so convoluted I dread loading it up. So like a savage, I am going to make a new game haha.

This time I realized I don't enjoy the pirate mechanics at all, just a whole lot of clicking diplomacy to get them off my back. I also don't care about the other NPCs right now - I know for some that adds difficulty but for me I just want to make my dream Crown Falls island, and I want to have it all to myself.

I use Spice It Up but havent really paid attention to any new mods that have sprung up recently. What do you guys suggest? I don't want to just "cheat" to badly but I do find stuff like the expanded harbor area mods, the more item availability to make the game a little more enjoyable and less grindy. Money isn't really an issue anyway but I would prefer not to make it TOTALLY trivial.

What mods do you guys use? For beauty/ease of use? For gameplay revisions? Any good seed numbers for current patch?

    Cheers!

Was the big cape tralawney city layout ever updated for the season 2 DLC?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2021 06:07 PM PDT

Edit: sorry, I mean season 3 (tourism etc)

    Hi,

I havent played in a while though had a 100+ hour game going that I still want to get back to. I had used the leaden schaftlicht layout I found on the wiki but was wondering if it was ever updated for the new DLCs? I liked that it was fairly optimised for space but still allowed space for parks and fountains etc. Anyone know? Or k ow of a new one I could use (though ideally I could continue my existing game because I'm really proud of my zoo, palace etc; in fact why I stopped playing was the first dlc from season 3 updated and the spice it up mod stopped and ALL my decorations and stuff disappeared)

    Thanks

    Anno 1800 Arctic Ornaments Mod

    Anno 1800 Arctic Ornaments Mod

Hi everyone. I have been playing around with a few mods. I think the one I used was MAUG to get the icebergs, trees, and bushes. I had this idea to put Arctic-type ornaments around the zoo I'm building for a Polar Circle and Arctic Tundra exhibit. The problem I have run into is the trees and bushes have the regular green grass base, not snow, and cannot be placed on tile/paving. My question to the Anno Reddit community is, does anyone know of a mod that includes arctic or winter type trees, bushes, or ornaments in general that have a snow base or can be placed on the white tile/paving? I wanted to simulate the environment for the animals. I figured, not only would this be fun in the zoo or even a museum, but also Christmas is a few months away and it would be nice to decorate.
