What is your preferred NPC remark or comment?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2022 01:38 AM PST

Mine is Von Malching commenting on you buying some of his items. I think that's something like "How adorable, the piglet returning to the tits"

What a character I love to hate, this guy!

    Anno 1404 locking down islands

    Posted: 19 Jan 2022 06:07 PM PST

Have things changed in the past years? I'm trying to do the exploit where I lock down islands because I'm not very good and want to complete the difficult scenarios. The ai colonizes islands I already have.

    Thanks guys!

(1800) How would I most efficiently create this trade route?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2022 08:47 AM PST

One frustrating thing in this game that makes me resort to mods that just make the game easier, is multiple islands that don't share workforce and produce the same good. Now on the small scale, this is not a big deal. But late game vanilla, you damn near need every single new world island for example. It's pretty crazy. So how would you go about "linking" a resource between islands. Ie, one island underproduces, the other overproduces, but there's too many islands to keep track of which is which.

The trade system lacks a lot of if this then that logic unless I'm just whiffing on game mechanics that exist.

I need to be able to designate slots to a cargo ship, and be able to have the piers unload or load onto the ship depending on their stock levels.

    1. Does this already exist?

    2. If not, what's the best alternative?

Need help writing a mod to restart all High Life quests

    Posted: 19 Jan 2022 06:37 AM PST

So, the short of it is that I'm on of the few folks who missed one of the timed acceptance quests that made up one of the first few quests for the High Life DLC, which ultimately made it impossible to complete the quest line. I can still finish the tower, I just am unable to do any of the quests... and I think this started with the Patent quest.

I didn't know this happened until I was very far along in my save file, and the thought of starting another game is just daunting, to say the least. I'm looking into writing a mod that will retrigger the aforementioned quest. This is my first time delving into writing my own mod (I really don't even play a modded game but am familiar with it), and this stuff is a lot to take in.

Does anyone have some materials that they found helpful in creating such a mod, let alone identifying the specific GUID for the quest that I need to trigger?

    Balance drop after the update?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2022 03:05 AM PST

Was on 650,000/min just yesterday, now out of nowhere dropped to 315,000/min.

Didn't run out of any commodity.

If I load an earlier save I can see the balance quickly deteriorating from the 650k for no reason.

    Anyone else? Thx.

Any mods that remove anno 1800 workforce requirements?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2022 01:45 PM PST

Yeah i know this sounds hilarious but i don't really enjoy this game as much as I did older ones. Idk i just feel like the workforce required for buildings is ruining it for me. Yeah it's a neat feature but do you people know any mods that remove them from the game? I think it would make the game so much better for me and much more enjoyable.

    Update broke my game?

    Posted: 18 Jan 2022 08:21 PM PST

So I went to fire up anno today and it ran a small update, after it updated, when I go to load the game it just opens the Ubisoft box and stays in an infinite loading

    It was working fine before
