    Favorite production chain breaking optimization?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2022 07:51 AM PDT

Since Docklands, I bring in a ton of clay, produce bricks around a trade union, and with the "General Foreman" rare that produces steel beams I replace my steel beam production entirely. Especially once the brick factories have power, and all 3 trade union slots filled.

A special side optimization I go for is the New World tobacco production with the "Arborist" on coffee plantations. In the early stages, who needs a tobacco plantation when you've got enough tobacco for 2 cigar factories?

We start with the white background with a black border 1 pixel wide. Let's go!

What I hope the game updates this year include: Influence Statistics Tab

    Posted: 03 Apr 2022 11:06 AM PDT

I hope the devs can add a influence statistics tab per island so we can see where we generate and how and where we spend our influence per island!

    Good idea? Bad idea?

How to learn new research in the institute?

    Posted: 03 Apr 2022 10:43 AM PDT

I was wondering if there is a way to learn new tech beside doing the fields or research? Is there a way i can give the institute an item so it "learns" how to make that item?

    1800 on steam deck issues

    Posted: 03 Apr 2022 02:02 PM PDT

Maybe a long shot but does anyone have any success getting into the late game of anno 1800 on steam deck? It worked fine for a few hrs but at some point (around when the Arctic expedition unlocks) it started consistently crashing.

I have the steam version BTW, although I managed to get ubisoft connect working seperately as well (didn't change anything unfortunately)

(side note, until the crashes it played fine after spending some time rebinding controls - would be perfect if it weren't for this)

    Lumber in Eden Burning

    Posted: 03 Apr 2022 03:23 AM PDT

Hello everyone. When I try to play Eden Burning, one thing constantly pisses me off - deforestation and consequent decrease of air quality. Although wood is one of the most needed resources throughout the game. So I would like to ask you some questions: 1. Is it a good idea to place a forester near a lumberjack? Will they replace cut trees like it happens in a regular game? 2. Is there any other way to get enough wood? I mean, I got it that I have to harvest lumber before building anything on that place, but anyways my forestation level goes negative so 3. Does it mean that I am limited in possible building space? The more I build, the lower is the forestation. Thanks 😊

    Have things changed re: islands

    Posted: 03 Apr 2022 04:21 AM PDT

Specifically how the options affect the size of the islands, because before this latest patch I was able to get a specific size of islands in the same positions but I can't seem to get it anymore?

Anyone got any tips for the biggest islands?

(I've not played for a year because this steals too much of my time but I'll try to keep it under control - that soft spoken English guy needs to be updated with brash sweary Scouser :)
