Instead of going for an over-optimised square manufacturing hell like I usually do, I tried going with a more natural approach this time!

    Anno 1602 worth playing?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 07:59 AM PDT

Hello all. I discovered anno 1404 recently and I have been enjoying it a lot that I am now thinking of its predecessors. Is it worth playing Anno 1602 when there's 1404. Seems to be more or less the same game, except a lot worse graphics and quality of life features. More clicks, worse menus, etc.

Does Anno 1602 have anything interesting and unique enough to make it worth playing over the newer games?

    Would you recommend Anno 1800?

    Posted: 19 Apr 2022 11:45 AM PDT

I'm a more or less active Cities Skylines player with around 900h in game. In my collection are around 4000 assets and mods and I like to detail my cities.

Sometimes I wish that there is a medieval version of Cities Skylines or a similar time period as Anno.

I think I don't mind the production chains of Anno as long as I am free to build as it would be in reality (if you know what I mean 😅)

What I am scared about Anno is the gridy layout. I am not sure if the grid isn't that obvious when I play it but when I watch the game it bothers me a bit.

In Cities Skylines I have the freedom to build a American town, big metropolis or a small european rural town. I wish Anno gives me this freedom to a certain extent too.

So what do you guys think?

What is the order of the best to worst DLC?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 06:29 AM PDT

Probably been asked many times, but wondering which DLC should be bought or played first?

I'm new to anno 1800, only saw it on the epic free trial last week . Played most of the rest a fair amount.

Lag and stutter when moving/copying buildings and placing roads/fields

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 01:21 AM PDT

I have all currently available DLC, no mods, and use medium graphic settings.

When I start my game everything works fine. But after an hour or so of playing, I notice lagging whenever I am placing roads, placing single-tile farm fields, moving buildings, or copying buildings. It's worst when I copy road layouts. This happens both in single-player and multiplayer. I have my fps in the corner and they seem fine and stable. It just feels like I have 2fps whenever that happens. It gets worse and worse with time. Restarting the game fixes it, however. It happens both in my huge save with tons of citizens and completely fresh saves.

I used to play with mods but removed them after I noticed the lag. I also did the "verify the integrity of game files" on steam (I got it on steam when the game came out) to get rid of the mod loader and get the original files back.

Does anyone have an idea why this happens and how to fix it?

I have a sandbox game started and just bought DLC - can I still do the DLC story even though I didnt start the main campaign?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 08:16 AM PDT

Ive finished the campaign in another save in the past but I saw somewhere that some of the DLC continues on from the campaign... would sandbox mode let me play them?

    Is DLC Purchase disabled?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 03:30 AM PDT

Since the new DLC released I can no longer purchase any of the older ones on Uplay. Wanted to grab Land of Lions but it's neither in the Store nor available through the game? What's going on?

    bug with gas spawning

    Posted: 19 Apr 2022 10:20 AM PDT

So, during the quest "first airship" you are supposed to get some gas from old Nate after completing the airship hangar

But it doesn't spawn at the island my airship hangar is located. Instead it appears on an island nearby.

Problem is, I can't transport it via ship. So I am locked out of some further content in arctica

Any ideas how to solve this?

    Thanks a bunch

Is it possible to add mods to existed game?

    Posted: 19 Apr 2022 12:58 PM PDT

I'm still quite new to ANNO 1800 and never tried mods. I don't think that it is possible but still asking. And if I would like to start a new game, what mods do you reccomend? I'm rather beauty builder than efficient. What are the best/most important mods for this game? And also does mods which adds new content affect game performance? I don't have best gaming machine.

Seasons of Silver - Just Venting - Actuary never shows up!

Seasons of Silver - Just Venting - Actuary never shows up!

Started up Seasons of Silver for the fifth time determined to at least finish it and the Actuary never shows up! I get all the normal 'other' events. Someone is shirking their duties. I was truly forgotten by the King. :(It's too bad too, it was definitely my best attempt with getting everything up and running quickly.

Trying to buy Anno 1800 Complete edition when I already own the delux edition.

    Posted: 19 Apr 2022 07:27 AM PDT

I already own anno 1800 deluxe edition and I want to buy the complete edition but it doesn't let me do it. When I order it from the Ubisoft connect launcher it at first says that it accepted but then immediately cancels it. How do I buy all of the DLC? Do I have to buy them separately?
