    distributing Goods to Crown falls

    Posted: 22 May 2022 10:03 AM PDT

I just reached 5000 investors on my Main island and fulfilled everything. So old world and new world or running smoothly.

Also set up basic stuff in enbesa and "reserved" good islands in every Location.

My next step would probably be building up crownfalls, with the first goal of 10k investors. Now I'm a bit lost on how do you distribute stuff?

atm I have a Mainisland I the new world where everything gets produced and then shipped to the ow.

My storage on the Mainisland with my 5k investors are filling up. Should I ship from there to crownfalls or setting up parallel routes from the new world?

    How do you organise this?

    Anno achievements gone?

    Posted: 22 May 2022 03:50 AM PDT

Where did all the Anno 1800 achievements go?

I remember them being there when I last played a year or 2 ago, and hunting them was the most fun I had in the game, now the Ubisoft connect page just says "new challenges coming soon", but they never update it in the week I've been playing... Am I missing something?

    How to mod my game?

    Posted: 21 May 2022 11:34 PM PDT

I've looked up guides and the folders it says to edit don't exist on my pc in the Ubisoft folder. I'm assuming since my Anno is a steam client version it's saved in a different place, but even when I look in the steam folders I can't find a place to save it. I've tried googling it but it just brings up the same guides. Can anyone help please?

So, anyone over the years found a working solution for “an unexpected DirectX error”?

    Posted: 21 May 2022 11:23 PM PDT

I've been playing and enjoying Anno 1800 for 2 weeks, since buying the game, with some crashes in 4~6 hours(with frequent auto save - absolutely manageable).

But after hitting 45 hours, opening regions and building towns - now game crashes with DirectX error at random time-frames - could be after 15 minutes/30 minutes/hour or two. Sometimes, it's crashes right after loading finished. It's become very frustrating to play and constantly thinking about "panic saving".

Been reading countless different posts on multiple sites and googling - tried almost all of the advice and still no result. Considering not many of such post lately - for the majority this problem has been resolved.

So, maybe there is a solution, hidden from me in plain sight?

PC Specs(if this is relevant - seen posts with this problem from people with 2080ti/3080 and other high-end PC's):

    Intel i7 8700K

    GTX 1080 Ti

    16GB RAM

    SSD game installation

    Windows 10

    Latest Nvidia Drivers

Tried running the game both DirectX 11 and 12 - the only difference is that with DX12 it's slightly more FPS and it's more stable.

Upd.1: Thank you very much for all your advices - will try all of which I didn't try already and update the post.

GOG: Anno 1404 VENICE addon on Linux Mint? How to start or install?

    Posted: 22 May 2022 02:56 AM PDT

I successfully installed the base game of Anno 1404 Gold via Lutris on my Linux Mint PC, and it runs perfectly. I've only played a few minutes to make sure it runs, but it seems to work.

However, I can't figure out how to start or instal the Venice addon. The main menu tells me the version of the game is 1.x, whereas I see online that with Venice it should be 2.x

I try adding the Addon.exe file manually to Lutris to install it, but that just takes forever and does nothing.

I tried following this thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/anno_series/anno_1404_for_linux

but when I click the .sh file nothing happens. As that thread is a few years old, I'm not sure if that will still work.

Any pointers? I'd be OK with trying another program if Lutris isn't the best solution.

    Thanks!
