Mining gas in the arctic: am I missing something

Anno 2070 should get a final update removing DRM like Anno 1404 did

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 10:53 AM PST

I just tried to mod Anno 2070 on Linux (using Proton). The installation of the game was really annoying and painful. Modding might work but I didn't test it since AnnoCookie doesn't work on Linux.

Anno 1404 on the other hand works without a hitch. Installs painlessly, runs well and can even be modded easily.

Why does Anno 2070 have to be such a pain in that regard? I really hope there will be a final update removing the DRM.

I don't know if posts like these are allowed, I haven't seen anything regarding these in the rules. I just wanted to voice my opinion

    ELI5: Modding Anno 1800

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:29 AM PST

I have already dabbled in modding other games (mostly Paradox titles), but I'm curious what can be done with this one.

I also read that Anno uses Python, and since I know a bit of that, I'm excited to see what kind of freedom that gives me.

Where are the mod files? How do you install your mods? What sorts of things are moddable in this game, and what is there that's hard coded or otherwise inaccessible?

+ x% of modules is negative?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:02 AM PST

There are some trade union items that will grant your farms and plantations additional modules (fields).

For instance your sugar plantations will now have 170 instead of 128 modules, when under the influence of such a trade union.

On paper this sounds great - but now all my farms are running at reduced productivity, because there is no space for the extra 42 modules. It also means I can only stack fewer farms, as each takes up a lot more space.

    Am I missing something?

Another Influence bug. Gaining points for each enemy turret destroyed.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 11:19 PM PST

I'm currently in a middle of a war, and my influence is climbing for every enemy turret I destroy by a number of points that turret is worth.. i.e.. just killed AI's Big Betty and got 14 influence points.

    Beginner trying to advance

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:32 AM PST

Hey all. I got the game a week ago and I'm HOOKED. I'm sorta stuck though. I've tried playing through the campaign and in the sandbox and always wind up in the same place.

I need artisans but can't ever seem to get my workers happy enough. Then I wind up building more amenities to get fulfill their needs, which costs more and thus begins the downward spiral into bankruptcy. Any help on avoiding that and getting the people I need to progress would be appreciated!

Anno 1800 spice it up bug? build trading post

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 04:46 AM PST

    Hello,

I just started with a new playthrough using spice it up 2.7. Before i started i immediatly sailed to cape trelawney and started building my city on the big island. I have now reaced enough artisants to unlock the sunken treasure dlc content, and got the first quest form the queen. wich consist of building a small trading harbor. but because i started building before starting the dlc i already have a trading harbor. when i move the harbor the quest doenst update. and if i remove the harbor it pop up screen says that everything on the island will be destroyed.

    https://imgur.com/a/DkHWZSX

Does this mean that i cant continue in the sunken treasures story? or is there a way of forcing the quest to complete?

    Anno similarity mobile game (almost)

    Anno similarity mobile game (almost)

    https://preview.redd.it/dwbl59iz53741.jpg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a79b00b800c13f1b98539663734ea67c44186ebc

Was looking around for a mobile experience that's somewhat near to Anno (to fill the urge of playing it while on daily long commutes trip). Found that Townsmen is the closest experience i get. Paired with Anno 1800 soundtrack in the background, its sheer gold. Just sharing around in case anyone is looking for a mobile platform or better yet, if you have any other recommendation, please do share :)

How is Anno 1404 multiplayer different from Anno 1800?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 05:30 PM PST

My girlfriend and I have been playing anno 1404 for a while now, but I was wondering if they made the 1800 multiplayer any different whereas you're interact or rely more in different players?

Good starting nap seed Anno 1800

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 01:00 PM PST

Hi guys, tried searching for a good seed to start.

Played at launch but not since. All the map seeds I can see suggested here are a little old!

Thinking of playing with 1 3 star person and pirates.

Sunken Treasures DLC - no quests?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 12:03 PM PST

I've started new game few days ago and I've recently finished an expedition which unlocked Cape Trelawney. I didn't get any quests combined with this place, and I am pretty sure I got those on 2 of my other games, so I've reloaded save game file before Cape Trelawney was unlocked and I've unlocked it again, but there were still no quests.

I thought that maybe quests starts after we settle on the main island, but I did it and I still don't have any quests. Is there anything I should do to start quests of this place? There are 2 ships of the Queen nearby main island, but clicking on them or putting ship nearby them result in no effect.

This game file have some different option than previous ones, I've started game without an island and with unveiled whole map from the start. I also have the those mods installed:

    • Harborlife
    • Mine Infolayers
    • AI Shipyard
    • Arctic Variable Resources
    • Buildable Diving Bells
    • Cargostorage
    • Commuter pier for Arctic
    • Commuter pier for New World
    • Construction Menu
    • Gas Heater
    • Incidents removed for all Players (while playing story mode on hardest difficulty I started hating any incidents)
    • Increased Harbourarea
    • Inuit Trade Gas
    • Oil Pier
    • Oil Rafinery increased Influenceradius
    • Scrapcrafting
    • Specialists added to NPC Dice
    • Twelve Items per Trader
    • Thomas the dank Engine :)
    • Visual Feedback for Twitch Drops
    • Arctic Quay
    • City Ornaments
    • Clay Covers for Construction Sites
    • No cultural Module Limits
    • Plaza Decoration
    • Plaza Streets
    • Trees with fences
    • Unlimited Botanic Ornaments
    • Workers City and Park Ornaments
    • World-Fair Items
    • Backup Translation for other languages

EDIT: I've tried to unlock Cape Tralewney with all mods disabled, same issue. So this is probably not connected to mods, unless save file wasn't already corrupted by them, which if find highly unlikely.
