Do the DLCs include new loading screens?

Salon aéronautique 1909, Grand Palais, Paris. Probably an inspiration for Anno's exhibit.

Can my computer run Anno 1800?

    Posted: 24 Jan 2020 07:01 AM PST

I was looking at the specs and even on every setting it recommends 8GB RAM. It's been a while since I was able to upgrade my computer and all I've got is 4GB. The computer runs Sims 3 and 4, and the first reboot Tomb Raider, but not the PC version of ARK: Survival Evolved.

Is it possible that I might be able to play this? A new computer isn't really on the horizon anytime soon but I hate to miss such a good sale...

Thanks for any help you can give.

EDIT: Without more specs (not currently able to lay hands on the computer) I'm sadly going to have to go without taking advantage of the sale. Oh well. At least there's other city builder games for me to play...

Thank you to everyone who answered!

How comes that ship pathfinding is so bad?

    Posted: 24 Jan 2020 07:50 AM PST

So after all this time the ship pathfinding is still awful. Is there any way to improve this? Ship-of-the-line move incredibly clunky and slowly.

New Anno 1800 player - some questions that I couldn't find an answer to

    Posted: 23 Jan 2020 10:10 PM PST

Huhu everyone. I'm a longtime casual Anno player and just jumped from 1404 & 2205 to 1800.

I looked online but couldn't find definitive answers to some questions.

    1. If I place a Lumberjacks Hut, there is an indicator/timer that changes from like 00:30 to 01:XX when I give over different places. Is this the regular production time per Wood or is it a waiting time for the Lumberjacks to plant trees?

    2. I've seen multiple layouts and tips regarding layouts and ratios, but that was not what I'm looking for. Is there a way to figure out the Ratio of Raw Material Building to Production Building? Other than placing it and observing.

    3. Is it possible to Settle on an island that another player has already settled on? I didn't try it because I was playing a Solo Sandbox game to get a feel for the Grid and sizes of really game buildings.

    4. Is it somehow possible to show influence of buildings as a Grid when you place them, like in Anno 1404? Or is it like in 2205 where you have to use roads as an indicator?

That's it for now. I hope someone can enlighten me. Thank you very much!

So what's the deal with the Great Eastern?

    Posted: 23 Jan 2020 01:51 PM PST

Now that the season pass is finished, are we ever going to be able to "officially" build the Great Eastern?

Obviously we can build it thanks to mods, but I figured we would eventually get to unlock it after a game update, especially considering it's a completed ship model that had it's own specialist item (until that item was changed anyway.)

I wish there were more ship types in the game anyway..

Laptop upgrade, any suggestions for settings?

    Posted: 23 Jan 2020 01:28 PM PST

Just replaced my old laptop with an alienware m17. Has 9th gen i7-9750h cpu, 16 gb ram, gedorce rtx 2060 6gb, ssd and a hybrid drive. Was wondering what optimal game settings and nvidia control panel settings would be.
