    Ideas for next Anno games

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:23 AM PDT

I had two ideas for new Anno games, that could maybe exist in the future. What do you think about it?

    -Anno 1206 (or 1305) - hanseatic - based theme

    -Anno 9 a.d. (or 45 b.c.) - roman age - based theme

You can also add other good ideas!

Does this game have the greatest soundtrack of all time

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 06:48 AM PDT

I am a sucker for orchestral scores and my god. I had to buy the vynil, it is unbelievable. This is my first anno game, people have told me to also peep 1404.

I only wish the tracks were longer than 3 mi s.

Statistics Screen--Any guides on how to use it?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:45 AM PDT

The stats screen is amazing, although it appears to go deeper than simply supply/demand. Are there any guides (or users here) that outline how to decipher the stats screen like a pro?

[Bug/Mod] Oil Tankers not using Oil Piers (Spice It Up mod)

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:22 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I installed a recent game update, also the new Spice It Up 2.8, also the latest modloader. Since then, oil tankers will no longer dock at Oil Piers; they all stack up and wait for the main Oil Harbour (like this).

Then if I manually move an Oil Tanker to an Oil Pier, as soon as it gets within range, the game crashes. *edit: (but only when the oil tanker is selected)

I checked the mods folder and "[Gameplay] Oil Pier" doesn't have a "-" next to it, so it's turned 'on'. I also downloaded the latest modloader that was uploaded today.

Any suggestions? I'm guessing it's something quite simple.

(suggestions about the bug that is... yes, I know I could make better use of my oil tanker trade routes more generally!)

Slot Modding after Seat of Power

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:06 AM PDT

First of all a disclaimer: I am not a modder.

As many of you know there was no way to increase Sockets in Townhalls/Tradunions..etc after the latest update due to a UI change to accommodate the latest dlc. However you can get the extra slot that unlocks with the palace by simply changing your SocketCount to 4. I know this is huge downgrade from the luxury of 30+ slots that could have been achieved in the past, but this can be useful to more moderate builders who used 6-9 slots previously.

Please note that I haven't tested this while actually having a palace, it might have all sorts of weird effects especially if you use the +1 policy there while this mod is active.

Many thanks to neo6891 who wrote about this here:

VIP specialists from the palace policy?

Are they a new rank of specialist, higher than legendary? Is there any info about them?

What do you really enjoy about Anno 1800 and what keeps you playing?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:26 AM PDT

I love strategy games, rts, 4x, city builders, all that type of stuff and anno games had always caught my eye but I had never played one before I decided to try anno 1800.

However after completing the campaign mode and looking over the other content I feel like the game just isn't for me, so I thought maybe I'm just not looking at it the right way and would like to ask what you all enjoy about the game, what modes you think are the most enjoyable and what keeps you playing? :)

When to start with the dlcs?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:19 AM PDT

Sorry for my English. I only have season pass one at the moment. This is my first anno ever. First kind of game like that. I love it!!!!

In the old world I have a main island. A second one. And 2 smaller ones but haven't done anything here.

In the new world one island and a nother

Totally 5100 people. Always a nice money balance 350.000 money But no Ingenieurs yet.

    Like 15 ships totally

I can start with the sunken treasures. ( that question top left doesn't go away. So annoying)

1)When should I start with it? What's going to happen? A new island?

2)Can I fuck up the game for beeing slow?

    3) is there a 3th world? Beside old and new world or maybe a 4th?

    4) how the hell can you handle more then 3 islands?

Sorry for my English and thank you!

New DLC not included in gold edition?

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 03:12 AM PDT

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I've bought the gold edition of Anno 1800 in December. Now it shows the new DLC seat of power as not activated and that I should buy it in the store.

Am I doing something wrong or do I need to spend even more? I assumed that buying the gold edition would include all future content

    How to get chef michel?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 05:47 PM PDT

The specialist that makes cannery use pig instead of redpepper/beef. It's said he can be bought in Eli's island, but i've rolled so many times and never saw him, despite seeing duplicates of other items. Is he gone from the loot pool or something?

Anno 1800 deluxe and DLC missing

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:39 AM PDT

When the game released, I bought the deluxe edition. Pretty sure it was promised back then that we would gain access to the first couple DLCs to be released.

Mate and I played the game absolutely grey and we took a break. Recently, wanted to get back into it, but I noticed that I own none of the DLCs. Going to the game overview, the deluxe edition now only claims to include: Extra scenario, 4 logo's, digital soundtrack and digital artbook. I would've never paid extra to get those..

Thanks to the sale, I could pick up the season 1 pass for half the money, but it left me wondering, wasn't I supposed to have all of that for 'free' for buying the deluxe edition?

Is the anarchist dlc any good?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 02:52 PM PDT

I have both season passes and I use spice it up for more ornaments. From what I understood the anarchist dlc only adds a new character and ornaments, so is it worth buying it? Has having Mercier in a game any actual advantages?

    Need help with 1404 acisvements!

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 02:14 PM PDT

Hey people, I know the main discussion here is about Anno 1800, but I need some help with Anno 1404. My problem is that I have all preconditions for an extensive quest called "Special brew I-II" given by Brother Hilarious (including Patrician civilisation level with Noblemen not have reached, one Monastery Garden and 3 Warships) but it seems the quest wont start. I need this for an Achievement. Please help if you can.

    thx
