Managed to get a ship with 60% trade discount!

Cool detail at Kahina's - There's a river running underneath her main building, and behind it, a water mill uses the island's falls... I would pay 3 dlcs' worth to be able to build such things (cliff side buildings, buildings over water streams, more modular things... So many possibilities !)

    Thank you People.

Help me understand why I'm always bleeding money.

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 02:25 PM PDT

I've been playing Anno 1800 (the campaign) for a few days now and I need a few pointers.

    1. I'm always in the red or fluctuating wildly between red and green, income wise. How do I stay positive, income-wise? I'm trying to understand where the issue is. My biggest expenditures are factories and warehouses. But if I cut those down or pause them, I don't have enough of one thing or another for my residents. Do I just need more residences? My royal taxes are also crazy expensive, like 500.
    2. When there's too much of one thing but not enough of the thing that you make out of it (for example, too much clay, but not enough bricks) do I lower production of clay until the numbers stabilize?
    3. How many warehouses is too many?
    4. Is there an easy shortcut to the screen where u choose where to increase production? It's hard having to chase down the right factory to lower the production or increase it.
    5. Settling a new island seems difficult. I need to have enough ships to send everything needed to build over? Could I actually do well without settling a new island until I have a big army?

Help with starting the Anno series

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 04:28 PM PDT

Hello! I have taken interest in trying out the Anno series, as it seems perfect for me. Some of my favorite games are similar, such as SimCity Builder, Cities Skylines, and Civ 6. However, I have no idea how the individual games are and which one would be the best to start with. 2070 seemed interesting to me, as I really like futuristic cities, but I wonder if the graphics still hold up and how it is in general. I also have read that 1800 is the newest, best looking, and one of the best gameplay wise. So, could someone help me please decide whether I should get 2070 or 1800? Thanks!

    Anno 1880 Complete and Uplay+

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:30 PM PDT

Hello all. I just signed up for Uplay+. I notice that for the Season 2 pass, I only seem to have Seat of Power DLC and not Bright Harvest and Land of Lions. Is this normal?

[Spoiler] Try to read the story of quests and AI players, NPC, etc

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:12 PM PDT

I am trying to read the content of quests of all AI players plus NPC.

Anyone have it or know where can I find it? Wiki has just a few of them.

    Game settings and crashes

    Posted: 29 Apr 2020 08:42 AM PDT

Has anyone experienced a lot of crashing? I've done lots of research elsewhere but can't seem to figure out what exactly causes it. I have not experienced crashing since putting the graphics settings to low, but it isn't as pretty, of course, and there are less citizens walking around.

Has anyone else experienced this? I just wonder if it's a problem of too many building assets to load/render, or if it's a problem of processing the paths of the many citizen NPC's once a certain population is reached.

I am especially curious since my computer can handle a very heavily modded Cities Skylines no problem, but there are crashes galore with my 100% vanilla Anno 1800. The crashes vary--half of the time it just quits to the desktop, and half the time it just cuts to the blue screen of death. Also, when playing Anno 1800, the computer gets wayyyy hotter than when I play the "heaviest" of my Cities Skylines' cities. (my poor computer... I put it through so much.)

Why are there no chickens in anno 1800?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 09:36 PM PDT

There's cattle, pigs and all kinds of crops, but no chickens, why is that? I would like to see those in the game too!

Can we have the Repair Crane animation, even if it's not repairing anything please?

Additional buildings you would add to Anno 1800

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 04:03 PM PDT

This is a fun idea for game updates that wouldn't be DLCs. Small things that make the game prettier, or add a layer of needs or enjoyment.

    Old world:
Library - it is completely odd to not have libraries in my cities.
    Playgrounds
    Cemetaries
    Shipping cranes - with animation
    lighthouses

    New world:
also some of the above 5
    Band-stands
    Fortresses
    futbol, sports arenas
    Jewelry and art galleries
    Seaside resorts?
More reason to beautify the new world.
At least 1-2 more population tiers.
What other key-point spectacle buildings would you add?

Is it possible to set 'Maximum Stock'?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 02:17 PM PDT

Is it possible to set 'Maximum Stock'?

The ability to set min stock is really handy if your island population produces and requires the same good, which is also in heavy demand; such as Coffee. Ships can dock and take 100% of the stock, except for the 10 units you set as a min for your population to have. Really handy.

    But would it be possible to set a 'Max Stock'? Few ways this would be helpful;

a new world island which produces Cigars requires coffee for it's Obrera. Being a production island it will have a large amount of storage for all the cigars, but this will mean that the transport dropping off coffee for the Obrera will also fill that storage up with un-used coffee. Literally thousands of tons of coffee just sitting there un-used.

Similar thing if I've got an island with 1 or 2 gas powerplants, the entire storage will fill up with un-used gas bottles.

Is there an option to set a max stock? Or could the Anno Dev's look at adding one?

    Anno 2070 Unavailable in UPlay+?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 02:24 PM PDT

Does anybody know why Anno 2070 is unavailable with UPlay+? I was looking forward to playing it with its Deep Ocean expansion while the subscription is discounted.

I could've sworn it was available when UPlay+ first came out, but I spent that month playing Anno 2205 and Anno 1800. Was it removed at some point?

New to the game. how do I know if I need additional houses?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 03:28 PM PDT

I've looked online for housing capacity but I haven't found an answer. How do I know if I need to be building new housing blocks vs just waiting for more immigrants to fill my current houses? Is there a way to view my current capacity vs actual population?
