    Land of Lions predictions

    Posted: 13 Jul 2020 09:02 AM PDT

We know, basing on the official announcements, that Land of Lions will 1) be the biggest of season 2 DLCs 2) have bigger impact on the Old World than The Passage.

Also, the bottleneck of the investors' growth at the moment is, I believe, space -- with trade unions, you can avoid lacking any other resource, but space for the New World plantations.

Which leads me to the following predictions:

    1. Africa will provide more coffee for your rich assholes of the Old World. Because this is what Africa actually does, and because we need that.
    2. Africa will provide us with more gold. We don't really need that, since you can have excessive amounts of gold via sand mines, but that would fit the setting very well.
    3. My bet is the devteam will cut corners of the colonial theme to ease the attitude. Say, all workers in Africa will be Africans -- to avoid racial segregation when one race is above another in that Anno style hierarchy.
    4. There are obvious things, like Africa will very likely rely on the Old World's goods, and we'll see more animals/museum items/plants, but let's not focus on what's obvious.
    5. The Old World will not change drastically -- there will be no new classes, no new luxury goods, no new production buildings for the Old World. Otherwise, that would mean that many players would have to rebuild their 1000-hours old cities, which developers have been avoiding so far. Africa will help to expand even further, but will not push us towards total rebuilding of already existing megalopolises.

What do you guys think about an anno but in ancient times with ancient empires.

It could still be on islands. But instead it's monuments and farms and Anno but just more UI stuff ig.
