ANNO 1800 - cant progress with the main story line due to no gas (old nate)

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 11:53 AM PST

    Hi,

This is in specific to "your first airship" quest in the artic region.

Old nate promises you to give 80t gas so that you can build an airship and colonize an island with gas. Problem is, I am unable to get this. When I pick up the gifted gas I only receive 5t of gas. So I'm unable to build an airship and colonize other islands. There is currently no other way of receiving any gas.

The save might be bugged. I don't know.

We've tried all searchable solutions on search engines, but alas to no avail.

Anyone else encountered this problem? Or have a possible solution? Only thing I can think of is reverting to a save many hours ago and I don't fancy that at all.

    Thanks

Anno 1800 multiplayer suddenly keeps disconnecting

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 09:28 AM PST

Even before we can finish inviting people, one of us will loose the connection to Uplay and we have to relaunch the game. Worked just fine the other day, and all other internet things work even when Anno is offline. Previously working savegames are affected, too What's up there?

Hi, I'm trying to find latest CPU benchmarks in relation to Anno 1800, similar to this, but with 5900x and 5950x.

Happiness on production only islands (Anno 1800)

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 11:49 AM PST

I usually like to have a few islands for only production to eliminate pollution, supplied by trade routes and commuter piers. If I were to increase the working conditions up to +50%, how can I counter the unhappiness that it provides if I have no actual residents on the island?

2205 Ubisoft connect "rewards" not working?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 12:22 AM PST

When uPlay was changed to Ubisoft connect, they seem to have automatically unlocked all of the "reward" items that you previously had to buy with the u-coin things, however at least for me these unlocks are only visible in the launcher, not in the 2205 game itself.

Some things are unlocked, I think those are the ones that I unlocked with the units before the change, but it's still annoying not having access to all the ornamental buildings, etc. (It also makes some achievements unobtainable.)

Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions? I have tried reinstalling both the launcher and the game, as well as starting a new corporation in the game.

Clicking on the greyed out buttons in the game opens the launcher, which shows all the rewards with the green checkmarks, but doesn't unlock them.

    Anno 1404 - Building count

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 11:21 PM PST

When I start some campaign maps, there are some full built cities with their production. Is there any way of knowing which buildings do I have without having to look one by one?

Any Europeans up for Anno 1800 Multiplayer?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:59 AM PST

Any Europeans up for a chill, multi-day session of Anno 1800? Either 1v1 or 1v1v1 if we can find two people.

Uplay username: GermanThoughts Players: 2 or 3 DLC: Season 2 Mods: no Timezone: Berlin

I've played about 60 hours or so and prefer a relaxed, slow, game rather than a speed build.

If anyone has some time just hit me up! :)

    Cheers!

    Philipp

    Enbesa question

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 07:17 AM PST

Sorry if duplicate, went through search and could not find exact anwers.

If I skip story completely, what exatly will I miss?

Will I miss boost for productions on Enbesa or other worlds?

Will I miss boost for research?

Will I miss any items that help me in main session?

When is the best time to start it? I just built Investors on Crown Falls and have not done anything on Arctic region.

    Thanks in advance.

How to create mod for Anno 1800 ?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 05:20 AM PST

I think that the title is self-explaining, but I will detail a little more.

I played with mods since one or two year now, but I find that the game is lacking some features/assets (railraods that can overlay road on more than two tiles, for example).

And I was wondering if there's some tutorials to learn how Anno 1800 is coded and how to create a mod with this base ?

    N.B : I'm a developper, I've a good idea in what I'm putting my feet down ^
