I'm looking fpr an Anno 1701 production chart

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 09:27 AM PST

As you probably know, Ubisoft is giving for free Anno 1701 HE (And if you didn't, there's still time to take it!) so i'm playing it for the first time.

It's been years since i played an Anno game aside 1800, so the lack of some QoL it's a little overwhelming, i'm searching for some chart with info about the production chains and how much buildings i need in order to optimize the production, but Google isn't helping me and only offers charts for 1800 and 2070, for some reason.

    Did DX12 just break?

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 09:58 AM PST

    Hey Guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster, so for the past few months i've been playing Anno 1800 with a buddy, running the game using DX12, with no issues, however today the game will not launch for any reason, it starts loading, i see the Anno mouse-cursor and then nothing, straight CTD.

I removed/disabled mods, i verified files, etc. and again and again the game wouldn't launch, it would simply just CTD.

However after a while i just edited the configfile to use the DX11 renderer (only way i had to change it).

So my question is this, is there a recent DX12 update that just broke everything? cause literally 48 hours ago the game ran perfectly and now its just not wanting to collaborate with me.

Anno 1800 - camera/cursor stuttering when objects under cursor.

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 07:43 AM PST

    Hi folks,

i just purchsed anno 1800 and am having a blast. Unfortunately the game drops frames and stutters when i move the camera with my mouse or when objects under the cursor.

I've created a video showing the issue. Is this a common problem?

GPU isn't 100%, nor is my CPU.

I tried DX11 and DX12, different graphical settings but none did fix the issue.

    i9 9900k / 32gb RAM

    2080Ti - datest drivers

    Playing in 1440p / 120hz gsync

    Latest Windows 10

This issue really kills the fun for me, so i'd appreciate any help.

    Video one

    Video two

okay, found out it's a driver issue, can someone recommend a nice nvidia driver for anno 1800?

    Extra goods through passive trade

    Posted: 20 Dec 2020 06:41 AM PST

Okay, we all know that passive trade is a bit odd, but how do the extra goods through specialists for the piers work? Im talking like the "bruiser" etc. How do they work, do they work well? Can i rely a bit on those or totally not?

    Optimal irrigation layouts

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 05:29 PM PST

Ok, so I've been populating my islands in Enbesa for a while now, but I'm still struggling with the placement of the irrigation canals in the most optimal layout. This is causing me some issues with my farm fields not getting enough water. If anyone could post a screenshot of an efficient irrigation layout, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

    Aesthetics?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 05:04 PM PST

Just a quick question: can I play Anno 1800 and make a city purely for aesthetics?? For example not have to worry about money or population??

[Anno 1800] Can I safely delete a school in an area of engineers?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2020 12:08 PM PST

Hi all, I'm currently building up some of my population to engineers, and have noticed that, while the worker and artisan need a school, the engineers don't. Can I safely delete it to cut down on maintenance, and make room for a university?

ETA: Same question regarding the church, which doesn't seem to feature in the happiness or needs for engineers.
