- [2070] When playing fullscreen and lowering the games resolution below my monitors native resolution the game appears as a borderless window despite still acting as fullscreen and Settings still showing it's in fullscreen.

With Season 3 starting and its first DLC already releasing tomorrow, the number of questions just kept increasing - so, this week seems like a perfect opportunity to host an AMA here on the Anno subreddit (Which fairly recently celebrated reaching 30.000 Annoholics! Posted: 22 Feb 2021 11:47 AM PST Hey Annoholics! I have taken a break from Anno for a while to try some other games but am coming back to it to try Enbessa (which I never got around to) and season 3. My question is when do you unlock the region and why? I'm starting a new save and see utility in all of the regions for the following reasons: Old World: This is the hub. All my population/beautification goals and strategy are fulfilled here. Every other region supports this region. New World: Besides the obvious consumer goods I see this region for the Oil production. I try to leverage the quantity of oil in the new world and not produce any oil in any other region (I don't have to do this but it just allows me to appreciate the new world much more). Cape Trelawney: Will unlock when Bright Harvests/oil production are invoked. I want to turn this into a farmer hub focussing solely on agriculture/livestock production. I borrowed this idea from RepublicofPlay and I really like it. My goal is to transfer all fields/animals (except new world) to cape Trelawney and transport to old world production island. Arctic: I see this region as valuable for it's gold production. I want all my gold coming from the Arctic and because gold is used in pocket watches, the added challenge of trying to make this financially feasible right after setting up electricity/oil will make it a little more engaging. I have no use for the gas islands. Ohhhhh... And airships (which I like for high demand interregion goods like coffee, gold, etc.)! Soooooo...back to the original question, what is the strength of Enbessa in your mind and when should it be explored? How does it fit into the grander world (certain goods that it really is strong in)? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 22 Feb 2021 10:27 AM PST Hi there, I just bought the complete edition of the game. I am playing sandbox and I think I turned all the DLC off just so I could figure the game out a bit before adding more. Looking at the DLCs, it looks like some of them just open new locations on the world map that you can send expeditions to? And some of them give you new building options? Is there somewhere that actually explains it plainly, or can someone do that? And some other questions if someone has the time to enlighten me: From what I gather, the NPC characters are always the same in your sandboxes.... you have the Jailer guy who will always buy some things from you incl extra for soap and potatoes. The British guy will buy ships off you and anything else as well. The Asian lady is always super friendly, the British lady is a bit prickly but will give you quests and if you do well, trade, while the annoying British guy is prickly but ultimately harmless. The pirates I am guessing you can appease with some effort and otherwise there will be some conflict with them? Do these personalities ever change? And if I disable these characters in the campaign, they simply don't show up and their islands are empty? I guess I am trying to figure out where the variation in the game comes from. I am on my second sandbox after not really enjoying the campaign (too cheesy, though its decent at teaching you the game), and was wondering which aspects change other than the seeding of the beginning islands? My computer is not powerful enough to play the game at my monitors native resolution but it works fine when I lower the resolution except this annoying bug or whatever. However, I have recently decided to start a new game that will be all about optimization and reaching highest population possible. Any good seeds for this?
