Posted: 15 Feb 2021 12:30 PM PST In Anno 1800 I purchased an item that should allow Potatoes to grow in the Island where it is slottet. But I added it to the Item Slot but I still cannot plant a potato Farm. [link] [comments]

Looking for help planning cities for engineers/power Posted: 14 Feb 2021 12:56 PM PST Started replaying Anno 1800 again, bought the deluxe edition to see what this anarchy malarkey is about and got the ubisoft rewards working, but I find myself with a spot of bother building my cities, in the my current play through I'm up to artisans, but I realised that my city really isn't going to be that compatible for power plants and the trainlines when I get to engineers. I've seen and tried out the 10x10 grid system, I can certainly see it's uses, but I'm not really a big fan, whilst the insides can be nice and varied, the overall layout looks like 1900's America, not 1800 Europe, which doesn't sit too well with me, I'm a bit of a sucker for the hodge podge of streets that somehow works together. I'm also trying to work in some of the nice avenues and boulevards I've seen, and I can't really see how to add them to the grid layout without buggering it up. Do you guys plan out your cities ahead of power plants and the service buildings, or do you just tear apart your cities and rebuild them in order to fit in the new buildings? I'd rather stick to the former, but I'm terrible at remembering building sizes and guessing their ranges. Also another query is if you convert your starting area into investors, or if you keep the starting village you make as farmers/workers, then build a new area and make that designated for engineers and investors? Just seen a few videos where it looks like they did the latter, but wasn't sure. If you've got any screen shots of mid development cities or some end game ones, I wouldn't mind taking a look, should be able to reverse engineer some designs out of them. Thanks [link] [comments]
