Best Items to reduce scholar needs in old world? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:59 AM PDT Just got the scholars unlocked looking for items that reduce the supply for needs or make it easier. So far only found the one using pigs instead of cows for the shoes. The search under items does not lend itself well to finding these items. [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:42 AM PDT I discovered this great series in february, and already played a 300 hours in 1800 (holy isht, never thought city building simulatior can be so addictive). Now i want to play earlier games and tried to start 1404 history edition from Steam. So, the problem is i cannot start vanilla company, only venice one. I've tried to launch both .exe in game files, both of them start venice without vanilla company. How can i solve it? Maybe i'm just blind? [link] [comments]
Land of lions "The Rise of Emperor Ketema" Story. Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:55 AM PDT Been doing the campaign up to the point where a choice is needed. What are the rewards for each choice or which path gives the best rewards if any? [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:48 AM PDT Which items do you guys find best and how do you get them? Recently I found out that i can't research all items via the Scholars. I want to collect a few for my trade unions and townhalls. [link] [comments]
Reinstalled Anno 1800 but now it is stuck on version 4 (Epic) Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:09 AM PDT So, i bought season 3 pass today, updated the game, tried to install mods but they weren't working, so i decided to reinstall the game but this time, game only shows that season (1) pass is installed and the last 2 dlc of the season (1) pass will be released. i checked the main window and it says version is 4. There is no update button, i can even search quick games, it does not show any errors at all. I verified game files through UPlay, but still, nothing... edit: second complete reinstallation and re-verifying game files in uplay found "1" file corrupted, updated it (about 12gb) and it works now [link] [comments]

Sceptre of Capon constant fireworks... Posted: 24 Mar 2021 08:14 PM PDT Ive completed the Sunken Treasure quest and got the sceptre, however when I equip it in my museum there's fireworks 24/7 now. like it was nice to have it for the first 30 seconds, but now I'm sick of it. Any way I can disable this? EDIT: never mind, I replaced the entire building to get rid of it, if your interested: https://www.nexusmods.com/anno1800/mods/107 [link] [comments]
Question about scholars. Any way to make them hurry up? Posted: 24 Mar 2021 09:00 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm slowly getting into all the dlcs (I took a break from playing Anno 1800 before season 1 started and am now getting back into it), currently I'm exploring the scholars from the Land of Lions DLC, and what options I have with them. When I first saw that I can theoretically now build all the rum, coffee and cotton in the old world I was quite pleasantly surprised. But today I researched the rum distillery and realized I can only build one off them at a time and then have to research for another 1,5 hours for the next one. How would I ever get a rum production that can supply a big city with that? For example, I have about 15 rum distilleries in the new world right now that supply my main city. Researching 15 old world rum distilleries would take ages. Now granted, I may be able to use electricity in the old world so I may only need half of them, but that's still a lot (I haven't actually build the thing yet, so I'm just assuming for now). Am i missing something here? Is there anyway to speed this process up? Or am I wrong in believing I can supply rum from the old world now? Just in case someone wants to tell me that I can supply rum with items in the old world: I know that, but first I don't have those items yet, and second I'm mainly trying to understand the scholar mechanics here, the waiting time seems ridiculous. How do I remove quest items from inventory after quest is finished? Posted: 24 Mar 2021 08:08 PM PDT Ive just completed the Sunken Treasure quest, got the sceptre build and all that. But now ive got 3 quest items in my inventory that did not go away (1 book+2 journals). I've even dumped them in the ocean but they float forever. is there any way to remove these useless quest items now? [link] [comments]

I'm surprised Anno 1800 residences don't have ornaments as modules for residences. Posted: 24 Mar 2021 03:40 PM PDT It seems like a decent solution to being encouraged to build huge, ugly blocks of housing for space efficiency reasons. Every nine tiles of ornaments attached to a residence is +100% base resident count and cost to upgrade, and nine attached ornament tiles also costs the same to build as the original house. No attractiveness bonus, but does attractiveness from ornaments even matter anyways? Each tile might need to be affected by town halls individually so people aren't just doubling (or more) their town hall effects, but other than that it seems sound to me. Thoughts? PSA: You can manually change your 3 AI opponents to all easy ones for a relaxed game. Posted: 24 Mar 2021 01:57 PM PDT This is a trick I stumbled upon early in 2070 and has made all my Anno games pretty chill. When you have 3 Easy AIs they almost always ask you to settle islands. I see people stressing about AI expansion and getting frustrated but also wanting some of the fun of having AI opponents. I find that if you manually change each AI opponent to be an easy one then you can play at a casual pace and just deal with the small rep loss of saying "No" whenever they ask you if you can settle an island. Makes a world of difference for enjoying my games. [link] [comments] |
