TU item currently in the game that boosts production via module increase is always not the best Posted: 29 Apr 2021 09:02 AM PDT I know this is an old topic, but I wish I can explain it ever more clear. After calculation, I think any TU item currently in the game that boosts production via increasing module is always not the best choice. It has only 3 types of boosts, +35% module for +70% production and +25% module for +50% production. And Alexander Hancock is 35% module up for 80% production. We just consider the best two choice. Let's set the production for a farm without any boost as 1, and the module size is 1 as well. +25% module for +50% production: So the farm production will be 1.5 and module size is 1.25, the average production boost for each module will be 1.5/1.25-1=0.2=20% Same as Alexander Hancock, the production boosts for each module will be 1.8/1.35-1=33% Considering that the plough has a 50% boost and the seed drill has a 40% boost, anything else that got more than a 35% boost is better than Hancock or any fertilizer. Same idea for Horticulturalist Hermann, +20% production with -20% module, the real boost is 1.2/0.8-1=50%. Combine with the plough and the seeds drill, This will be best combination. Arborist: +15% production with -10% module, the real boost will be 1.15/0.9-1=27.78% (not that good) By using this method, we can figure out the most efficient boost for the same space. Train tracks in new world and old world - what is your approach? Posted: 28 Apr 2021 09:59 PM PDT I haven't worked out quite how efficient the rail system is. I saw the double road idea where you put two roads and then 2 rail tracks along the main streets of your island so you can efficienntly transport oil across. When it comes to just placing an oil refinery, or even a gas station, how do you guys do it? Do you always have two rail paths for the trains to go in? [link] [comments]

How much time can I spend ogling my cool city and all its lovely inhabitants?? (Normal mode) Posted: 29 Apr 2021 09:33 AM PDT Starting to get the hang of things at early engineer level after a restart. I could spend AGES gawking at everything and adding the tiniest little crate and concrete floor and tree. (Bought all dlc). I'm not great at many games. But if I grab the basics and play on normal can I spend a while on chilling out making things look nice and watch the animations? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Apr 2021 08:54 AM PDT Hi everyone! Quick question about research. So I understand that if you have 1000 engineers, major discoveries take 90 minutes and at 10000 it is 10 minutes. However, I have 2000 engineers. Is there a way to assign extra engineers so it is, say 45 minutes or is there only the two extremes? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2021 07:50 PM PDT I want to move a lot of oil wells, I've already moved 5 and I need 50000 RP for the next one. When is it going to stop increasing the number of research points required as I have no wish to have a massive number of scholars. [link] [comments] |
