Posted: 01 Jun 2021 05:49 AM PDT I love games like surviving Mars, cities skylines, planet coaster/zoo(yes I understand they aren't city builder but they have management similar I suppose). I want a city build with old architecture and was really wanting to build an old roman city, I don't know if this will deliver that exactly but does it play similar to the likes of cities skylines and surviving Mars? Another worry for me is it being ubisoft, I don't really have much faith in them as developers so how is it in that aspect as an UBI game? [link] [comments]
Has anyone find a solution for the disappearing interface? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 02:30 AM PDT Hi all, since the tourist update, my ui disappears after about two hours of play. Updated the latest gpu drivers and latest windows update but to no avail. Is there a workaround or is it just waiting for the next update? [link] [comments]

Invites to game lobbies don't work right now Posted: 01 Jun 2021 12:07 PM PDT I'm in Germany and we wanted to continue playing our game of Anno 1800, but today the invite feature doesn't work. When I invite my friend (in the same room) there is no invite popping up on her screen. I also can't make the game public because its greyed out (I think because its a coop game). This never happened before. Can someone else confirm its broken right now? [link] [comments]
Started Land of Lions expedition with Ship of Line Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:44 AM PDT So, I'm quickly realizing this was a mistake, and wish the game had warned me. I guess I recall reading people advising to use a steam cargo ship a while back, but forgot until it was too late. I'm out of space for items and rewards and only 50% through the expedition lol. Is there anyway to rectify this? I don't want to fail the expedition because I sent the ship out with some OP items I'd hate to lose but I feel like it might be my only option? I can't load an old save at this point because I've been playing for many hours while the expedition runs. Will I regret missing out on some of the special characters and items I get on the expedition or is it NBD? [link] [comments]
Missed opportunity with Character Items. Posted: 01 Jun 2021 11:38 AM PDT I'm sure this has been said before, but there is a missed opportunity with character items and how they influence the game. It seems like there could be some fun quest lines or expedition interactions with them. For example, the old pirate hat. Imagine if you took it with you on an expedition and there was a chance you into a special sequence because you had it. Ie run into a pirate ship with a hatless captain looking for his old hat. You then have a chance to gain a pirate ship item, or you get attacked and have to fight your way out. If you run from the experience then they will "follow" you and enemy ships will show up in the playing area you are going towards. Small interactions like this could happen for the myriad of character items that there are, and give you a chance to "roll" for certain expedition events. [link] [comments]
Best Anno Game for a New Player to Start With? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:51 AM PDT I'm new to this type of game. I mostly play RPGs but I'm thinking of trying something new. My PC is okay: i7-6700, 16 GB, GTX-980, 1080p What's a good Anno game to try first? Maybe I'm asking for an easy one. I don't know if there are difficulty settings within the games. anno 1800 Performance, returning player Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:25 AM PDT Heya, I've played a couple of hundred hours of every anno game, and this version is one of my favorite so far. And i just started again now since i saw the season 3 stuff. However it's almost at a point when it becomes unplayable lag wise, its dropping to like 5-10fps. And this in a city pop way lower than iv built before, it's the same pc still and its more than good enough for anno 1800 i would hope. It's laggy so much i can't barely go into menus and im only on 20k pop in Crown falls. Wtf's happend to the game, it was not this bad in when i played it at end of season 2. What, if anything, does 1800 take from 2205? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:44 AM PDT I'm curious about whether 2205 kind of got skipped over as a one off, or if any of its novel features were preserved in 1800. [link] [comments]
Is hotel/tourists a way to get higher population? Posted: 31 May 2021 10:56 PM PDT It's the single most dense building in the game with 500 residents. And their needs are easily filled, which are bread, jam and shampoo. Plop some restaurants and bars and you can get each hotel to 490+ easily. I can see min maxxer or people going for population record converting from investors to tourists in Crownfall to a Soviet style mass produced monotone apartment complexes all over the island to max the population count.
