Aesthetics vs efficiency - how are people playing? Posted: 20 Nov 2021 11:32 AM PST Really enjoying the game. However, making the city more beautiful doesn't sort of make sense from the efficiency perspective. The ornaments do not add nearly enough attractiveness to justify it. So really, the only point is for own satisfaction but it makes no sense otherwise. Wish the game mechanics supported it a bit more - for example - a park/tree/ornaments in vicinity of a household providing it with some bonus (financial or otherwise). So how do you play Anno - beautiful or super efficient cities? Or a balance of both? [link] [comments] | ||
Ship vanishing when transferring between areas Posted: 19 Nov 2021 04:38 PM PST I just unlocked the Artic in my current custom game. I wanted to send a small supply/military fleet to resupply and fortify my new island. I got myself a Ship of the Line, 2x Frigates and a Clipper. Loaded the Clipper with supplies, set them off on a "transfer" order and watched them go together as a fleet. I did an identical fleet at the same time, but going to the Cape. The fleet in the Cape arrived totally fine. But the fleet in the Artic arrived without the Clipper. I checked the fleet tab, only 3x ships arrived. No Clipper. I then went and checked the other areas and went though every Clipper on the fleet tab just to double check I hadn't sent it to the wrong place or it hadn't gone at all. Nope, just completely vanished along with all the supplies it had. I've never had this in any previous game nor in my current game until now. I've never heard of this bug, and I checked this sub and couldn't find anything. Anyone had this before? Any way to find it or is it just lost? I can roleplay it just sank or got lost or something in transit. It didn't have anything special on board. But, I don't want this to be a recurring bug and I end up losing a battleship packed with items later down the line or something. [link] [comments] |
