    Upgrade to engineers

    Posted: 11 Oct 2019 02:56 AM PDT

Hi All, as this is my first post to this sub.

I bought Anno 1800 two months ago and I am stunned by mechanics and graphics of this production.

But, regardless of my efforts, I am not able to successfully upgrade my artisans to engineers. I tried three times already, it always ended being me 0 cash due to negative income. My warehouses were full (1000+ tonnes of each product, including those from new world), peeps were satisfied, needs were fulfilled, but there was negative income. Negative like from +15k I went to -30k in blink of an eye and my savings dropped pretty fast.

What I noticed, engineers do not like consumptionism propaganda, so I do not use it anymore - no effect whatsoever.

I was very gentle with artisan's house upgrade, did it one - two at a time, so there is just exact amount of them to fill required engi workforce need. No effect.

I read on this sub (or another), that this transition phase is hardest, but I started my game 3 times already, I am on my 4th go, just waiting for new world colonies to expand for all buildings and oil refineries (and making some savings during that time as well). Please give me some advice, so I won't go bankrupt. Thanks in advance for any response =)

Has anyone else noticed that their Botanical Gardens aren't using influence after pass the 10 free module limit? Do the gardens have a higher free limit than Zoos and Museums?

    1800 Electricity. Is this correct?

I have very little clue about electricity. Could somebody please tell me if this would work?

I would need to move dozens of buildings in my city to make way for it, so I cant really test it out.

    Thank you

Why do my oil trains only top of my power plants to 77/100?

    Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:30 PM PDT

They never fully top them off. It's always to just 77/100 and there's more than enough fuel left on the train. Why is this?

Ideas for overcoming brief electricity lapses at World's Fair

    Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:22 PM PDT

I would love to hear some of your ideas because I'm not sure if mine will work. Each time I do a new project there I lose electricity for about 10-15 seconds. I've tried to make a circle loop but it doesn't really fit properly with my layout. So I wondered if I added a second electrical station? Maybe if they're powered at different times if that could work? Then I'd have to deactivate one of my others.
