Lost access to Ubisoft account/Email linked to my Anno1800 on steam. Is my Anno1800 locked forever?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 11:54 AM PST

I bought the game on release and decided to play it again after some time. I boot the game a notice it asks for a Upaly log in. I enter my email and password and it asks me to change the password since the account might have been compromised. However, the email I used to create my Uplay account was very very old, since I created the account when Uplay first came out with Assassins Creed 1. I lost access to the yahoo mail I used back then, but I knew my Uplay password and Email so I never had any issues until now since a password change is being requested. Is my Account lost forever and will I never ever be able to play my steam version of Anno 1800 ever again? I cant even buy the game again on steam for a new Ubisoft account if it were ever to come out on steam. I know the fault lies with me for not having access to the yahoo mail, but maybe there is a way to recover the Ubisoft account? I actually thought that I linked the recovery to my new email Adress inside the ubisoft settings, but there is no option to recover through a different email. Creating a new account did not allow me to link Anno 1800 from steam to it, since its linked to the lost account. This is probably a lost case, it just sucks knowing all those Uplay games I collected over the years are probably gone forever and a preordered Anno1800 is forever locked in my steam library. If a Ubisoft member or anyone else has anything I could try out that would be helpful. Maybe the games could be transfered to the new account?

How Long From the New World to the Old?

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 05:55 PM PST

Does anyone know exactly how many minutes does it take different ships to get from the New World to the Old? This would be helpful to estimate how much stuff I need to be shipping.

Worth buying Anno 1800 on EGS?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 02:25 AM PST

So, been thinking of buying Anno 1800 for a while now and i finally got the time to play.

I see that currently Anno 1800 gold edition is priced for 42$ on Epic Games Store, is there any negative to buy it there as opposed to paying more on Uplay? Is there any other sale going on soon?

    Rum Supply Tips

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 12:29 PM PST

Hey all. I've been having some trouble getting the most out of this game, and I know it's because I'm messing something up. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get a stable supply of Rum and Cloth to the old world. Eventually I hit the defeat screen because my Rum supply goes down, and so my Engineers stop paying taxes or whatever.

So yeah. What are some tips and tricks y'all have for ensuring a steady supply of stuff from the New World to the Old? I've tried staggering my ships, doubling my rum production and I still end up in debt.

Greets all, long time civ/strategy player new to the game... one question...

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 01:38 PM PST

Okay so I love the game and after 20 years playing civ and other strategy games I'm disappointed it's taken me this long to find this amazing series I started with 1404 as it was on sale and I thought it looked interesting, so far so good but one really disappointing thing i just cant get passed it losing what I've built after each campaign mission, it really kills the game for me tbh Does every edition of the game do this and if not could someone point me in the direction the ones that dont do this Thanks in advance
