    Is it better to have a buffer island or a straight line?

    Hello,

    Trying to optimise the transportation between islands.

    In order to ship minerals to my production Island, is it better to:

    1. Have island A, B and C ship their minerals to Production Island via their own route?
    2. Have island A and B ship to island C, and island C (island C is closest to Production island) to ship everything to Production Island?

    Buffer or not buffer? :)

    Hey, I have a problem with the anno 1404 steam edition and maybe some of you can help me.

    Whenever I load any save file I wait for the load screen to complete and then when I click set sail to start the game crashes.is there a solution to this problem?

    I didn't see any recent topics regarding this and with the story line of having to help with water irrigation, it seems like a reasonable idea where we will be able to put down water lanes that will power water mill electricity plants. What say you?

    I want to know if, to complete this challenge, Chartered Company, I can buy goods from NPCs, without creating a route, or the fact that buying from them already cancels the challenge?

    If I buy Steel Beans from Mr. Archibald, and take it to my trading post, will it cancel the challenge?

    Is oil by far the most important resource to have on the main island?

    With oil on the main island, you can save massive amounts of workforce and money by electrifying the productions, with very little effort. Also reaching investors is easy, all you need is to import enough coffee, the rest is quick and easy when you got oil.

    But when you don't have oil, you have to take so many extra steps. You need 2 commuter piers, a power plant on the oil island to produce steam engines and power the shipyard to build an oil tanker, to finally get acces to electricity where you need it.

    Also two oil ports instead of one, considering that all these engineer tier building use lots of materials, especially reinforced concrete, which is usually the limiting factor when reaching a new tier, it's such a major advantage

    Recent Crash to Desktop Issue - Last 24 Hours

    Anno 1800 : Who can sell trade union items to boost my farms ?

    Hello. i have a hard time finding some trade union item to boost my farms. lady kahina and the red head prison guy are seling some peoples or items, but none of them seem to be able to help my farms. (except the seeds). is there a NPC to get for taht, or something to do ? i got a lot of upgrade for the ships, the beer, mines, bikes, stels... high price goods, but nothing for basic farms (wheat, hops, potatos...)
