    Automatic trade routes (Anno 1800)

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:14 AM PDT

    Hi,

I have really enjoyed playing Anno 1800 so far, but I usually become quite overwhelmed when using trade routes. I thus decided to make my own bot/mod/extension to allow automatic trading.

I'm not quite satisfied with the system just yet, but I thought I'd share what it can do at the moment.

Big things missing from Anno 1800

Big things missing from Anno 1800

When I think of the Victorian era, I think of row upon row of unwashed masses crammed into terraced houses (which are still very common in cities such as London today)

I used Maug's mod to create this but the houses are just ornaments. Would be great if the devs could add this in for the worker class.

Also bridges for trains when train tracks go across roads would be great. And it seems like the footbridge added in Bright Harvest is just an ornament and can't connect to roads.

Yet more things that would be great would be embankments for rivers and larger bridges. What you like to see added?

    AI Shipyard crashing

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 09:48 PM PDT

Hello, I Have been playing sandbox mode with Spice it up latest version and today I tried to add AI to the game with the AI Shipyard but whenever the AI selected puts down to settle on an island the game crashes...

Anyone any ideas on what could be the problem please?

Is it worth buy the game + season pass 1&2 ?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:48 AM PDT

I generally buy the edition with all the stuff but the price is still a little high, I don't know if it worth to buy both 2 season pass or not at this time.
I don't even know what they include.
Maybe it's better buy just the base game for now?

Why are the load times so long?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 01:32 AM PDT

I have a Samsung 960 evo .m2 SSD and an 8 core /16 threads Ryzen 7 1700, so I expect save games in Anno 1800 to load in a few seconds but it takes a very long time instead, what's the reason for this? Is it the way a map gets generated from a seed and does that only work on a single thread or where is the bottle neck here?

    Game no longer starting?

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 01:17 PM PDT

Mid-way through today (10 June 2020), my game no longer starts. It was playing fine earlier.

I launch it via uPlay or via the .exe in the game folder, and I get the synchronizing popup, then a anno1800.exe in my Task Manager that sits at 33mb forever, and nothing else happens.

I've re-installed the game, set my Antivirus off, to no effect.

If I Verify the Game Files (thus deleting mod loader python dlls) the game still doesn't work.

    Anyone had a similar issue?
