    Opinion on production chains

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 08:55 AM PDT

I first fell in love with Anno 1404, and been engaged with the series since, except anno 2205. Anno 1800 is a great game but I always felt the production chains are so independent of one another. They all seem very linear except a few which start to get interwined in some way like wheat, pigs, and glass being used in multiple end products. I would personally like to see a bit more interdependent chains. Like says pigs farms producing meats and leather, and that leather being used in place of furs for coats. Which maybe allows coat producers to use either furs or leathers. Maybe using furs is a bit less costly but leather is more efficient space wise. This would open up the game to a less linear progression. Another possible one would be the sheep farms producing both wool and meat for the slaughter house and cloths. And maybe a yeast producer being used in schnapps, bread, beer, and champagne production so a single lower tier producer is used throughout all tiers. In short, I think it would be neat to be able to have less tier compartmentalized production chains, more interdependence, and more avenues to get the same product.

How quickly do you start a second island?

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 11:17 AM PDT

I recently started a new game with the idea of keeping as much vulgarity off my first island as possible, so I began by building up a second island almost immediately. It's a much smaller island so before commuter piers it will be rather small and handle things like pigs.

But it always feels like shooting myself in the foot to expand this quickly. I'm constantly broke and would be completely screwed if I was actually being attacked by anything more than Anne's occasional raids.

So how do you guys do it? Usually I wait until I have a large worker population before creating a "feeder island" that solely has hops on it at first, and I feel much less financially strained then

    Anno 1800 complete edition

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 04:36 AM PDT

    Hello everyone,

I just purchased the currently discounted Anno 1800 complete edition in the HubleBlundle store. According to the description, it contains the following:

    DESCRIPTION
Enhance your Anno 1800™ experience with the Complete Edition including the following digital content:

    Anno 1800™ - Full Game

Season 2 Pass, which includes 3 upcoming DLCs:

    • Seat of Power: Show off the power of your city with a prestigious palace and government departments that can boost your economy with a variety of policies.
    • Bright Harvest: Bring the wonders of mechanized farming to the countryside as you boost the efficiency of your farms with tractors and more.
    • Land of Lions: Travel to the Southern continent and join forces with an embattled Emperor to bring life to the desert using a new irrigation system.

    And 3 exclusive ornaments

Season 1 Pass, which includes The Sunken Treasure, Botanica and The Passage DLCs

However, after purchasing it, the season 2 pass doesn't seem to be unlocked in my uPlay account, as it still shows up in the "not owned" section in the store: https://i.imgur.com/gFUKsfO.png
The two lastest DLC that are supposed to be part of the season two pass are unlocked though.

    Am I missing something obvious?

4K resolution, Hardware not up to par, something happens?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 04:50 PM PDT

I have a question, maybe it is a somewhat obvious or silly question for some people, but I am going to say it.

Something happens, if I buy a 4K monitor and my motherboard and video card are not up to par, that is, they do not reach 4K resolution, something happens with my hardware or with the monitor?
