I love this game so much

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 08:20 AM PDT

Anno2070 has now down to "Mixed" reviews on Steam with the last 30 days' review being "Mostly negative" due to Uplay-related bugs (autopatcher endless reboot, key errors etc.) that were introduced in the latest patch. Solutions I found in the post.

    2205 Orbit

So some people are able to build 25 workshops in the orbit. How is that possible? I thought you can only build 12?

Engineer production chains - some questions

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 01:23 AM PDT

Hi guys, I am having a blast with this game, and with the weekend approaching, would like to complete the Engineer stuff and move on to Investors. However, I have realized that the production chains here are REALLY expensive. Here is how things stand:
    1. I have oil enabled, and 1 oil power plant in Cape Trelawney in the production area. It has really cut down on maintenance and workforce. I have about 1700 engineers and 4000 artisans. Oil is also coming from new world in a couple of oil tankers, but I am not currently using it either.
    2. I had about 21M coins, but I am now at about 14M. I realized that I needed some Steam Motors for Oil tankers, which are really expensive. Plus, I set up a trade route for buying pocket watches, and when I did the Math, it cost me around 1.3M just for buying 150t of it. I have stopped both now.
    3. I have spectacles set up, and since Coffee is cheap, I am buying it from Kahina for now until I have enough engineers that I have to set up coffee chains.

    1. I have dropped to below 10k in income, but have now set up capacity for a doubling of my artisan and worker pop.

So, now that you know where I stand, here are some of my questions:
    1. Do I need to set up a Steam Motor factory? There are no unfriendly AI, pirates are friendly and the occasional Steam ship that I want can be created by buying the motors from Nate. I have about 20-25 SOTL in case of anything unexpected happening.

    1. Similarly, do I need to set up Advanced Weapons? Maybe I should just buy Nitre from Nate, set up a factory, produce enough to get a couple of Cruisers for expeditions and then pause the factory until I need it again.

    2. Buying pocket watches is clearly not worth it. But is buying gold for 2000 per ton and using it to make watches worth it? That way, I can avoid setting up Gold mining until later. Both pirates sell it, so it should be enough for quite a few pocket watches.

    3. Would you start setting up tractors now (400% means I need 4 times fewer farms as compared to before) or wait until later? This is a preference really, so I just want to know your opinion.

    4. Do I need to provide luxuries to new world people? It seems to me that putting up police stations and providing the bare minimum so that they are not seriously unhappy should be enough. I am not playing with mods, so space in the new world is quite scarce unless I want to take over most of the islands.

Also, how the hell did you guys play before the statistics screen? It is invaluable, and without it, I guess I would be overproducing everything to be safe. Sorry for writing a novella in a question post, but I like to talk :)

Please free to answer in any way you feel like - I don't expect I will get answers to every question.

Spice It Up Mod (influence radius) adjustment

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 02:11 AM PDT

Would like to ask modders and those who use the Spice It Up mod with regards to the influence radius increase one.

I can see the Town Hall, Harbourmaster and Trade Union in the assets.xml file. But I don't see the Arctic Lodge one. I would like to actually keep the radius increase for the 3 mentioned but would like to actually revert the Arctic Lodge one to normal. Currently with the mod active, it seems like the Arctic Lodge benefits from the influence radius increase as well. Is there a way to revert the Arctic Lodge radius without impacting the 3 original?

    New Campaign wont start

    Posted: 06 Aug 2020 01:23 PM PDT

I decided to start a new game and the game is bugged at the very start.

When you start in the "new world" , there is no way to actually do ANYTHING (dynamite the fishes).

All I have is a little bit of an island with the lighthouse and a small village.

A Ubisoft Developer recently posted about the Anno 2070 login problems people were having for the past months

    Posted: 06 Aug 2020 12:51 PM PDT

    Hello all!

This issue can usually be resolved by following our support article here: https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Faqs/000025468

We have noticed however that more players have been affected by this recently, so an investigation is ongoing. If this offline patch does not work for you, please give us a bit more time to implement a fix!

    - Ubisoft Support

This was taken from the steam forums. Hopefully this information can help the people that still want to play the game and are experiencing the critical errors.
