Bumm Brimmell causes Bootmakers to create "pollution" Posted: 17 Jan 2021 09:56 AM PST Bumm Brimmell, the Original Dandy is a legendary specialis that influences the Bootmakers. He changes to input from Embesan Cows to Pigs, but also grands an Attractiveness bonus of +20 to each Bootmakers. At least that's how I imagine he was intended to function, It is just a half-bug, because the Attractiveness seems to increase, but the value is displayed under the pollution tab, only with a positive sign and in green colour. One would expect to find it that value in the Culture tab. Also when I built a new Bookmakers factory Bente Jorgensen complained about the destruction of my island's natural habitat. I'm getting conflicting messages from the game here. It seems like a minor bug. [link] [comments]
Anno 1800 Performance Issues on Higher-end PC Posted: 17 Jan 2021 10:00 AM PST I've been trying to get back into Anno 1800 now that there is a lot of new DLC out for it that I haven't played. I have recently built a newer computer (AMD 5600X, 32GB RAM, GTX 2080 Super, m.2 NVME drives, Win10). I've been having what I would consider very problematic performance issues with the game. The game ranges anywhere between buttery smooth to a slide show netting me less than 20FPS. It's really apparent when scrolling around the map, it looks like a slide show. I've tried switching between DX12 and DX11, Vsync on/off, Rotating low/high settings. Even things like object and feedback quality don't seem to make a difference in terms of choppiness. I updated my bios, and did a complete uninstall/reinstall of the latest Nvidia driver (as of this post) using DDU in safemode. All chipset and other drivers are the latest available. The weird part is my wife has an identical PC (except a 1080ti) and has zero performance issues. The other difference is my resolution of 3440x1440 versus hers at 1080p. I suspect that is the biggest difference. Using hardware monitor, the game is not stressing my CPU or GPU at all. It was maybe using 4GB system RAM after 10 hours of gameplay, and CPU usage never exceeded 20%. I have plenty of headroom, but the game doesn't seem to want to use it? My only other thought is the game isn't optimized for ultrawide, but I'd hate to run the game outside my native resolution. I'd rather have everything on low than do that. Is there something I'm missing, or a setting that is a performance crippler? I really don't care if I'm running the game on the highest settings, I just want it to be a smooth experience. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated! [link] [comments]
Rewards locked after i updated my pc Posted: 16 Jan 2021 11:43 PM PST So i got myself a new ssd (A)and installed a new win10 on it. My game is installed on a different ssd (B) and my previous win10 was on a different ssd (C) as well so i have 3 ssd in total. So when i installed Win10 on A i unplugged B and C beforehand. I thought everything would be untouched.. after win10 was installed i plugged the other 2 back to the system.. i had a couple problems: i had to reinstall several apps and features even tho nothing was deleted or changed except for win10. I had my old win10 running on B but i could only boot it with a hdd i had. Thats why i got my self a new product key and ssd like i mentioned before, so that i can remove the hdd from my system. There was only the boot daza and nothing else on it. Anno1800 and other games were on ssd B from the start. Ok that should sum up the Situation.. Now to the problem with the rewards... i got every reward via ubisoft unlocked and bought every season pass and additional content there is. But after this change of my system the ubisoft rewards are locked again.. the dlcs are playable like before, perfectly. Only the rewards like ornaments and stuff are locked even tho i used them just a couple days ago. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?Image [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Jan 2021 07:14 AM PST Hey guys, recently I made a poll about the popultaion tier you guys would like the most to be used for record building. And it turned out to be the artisans. So I am planing a contest to kill time while waiting for seasonpass No. 3. But first we need to set the rules and I wolud like to discuss some things with you guys.
Love to hear your opinion [link] [comments]
Is there a way to play Anno 1404 Venice stably and reliably? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 08:25 PM PST I really love that game, but I was never able to finish it or push it towards the end game production because of the memory issue. I was only able to get it to early Noblemen but then I have to constantly quit the game and play it again every 30-60 minutes unless I risked crashing and losing the save, only to have to repeat the things I need to do again. And doing this really kills the momentum of the game especially in the end game where there's so much stuff to keep track off and breaking away from it to restart the game can be tedious when done so repeatedly. I also installed the program that lets you adjust the ram so that the game matches the ram of your laptop or something, I forgot, but while it did worked at first since I was able to play it for around 2+ hours, it didn't lasts long. The next day, it was back to 60+ minutes, and then it could crash even after 30+ minutes. I read somewhere that it's actually better to use an old spec laptop? I have an old i3 laptop that I can use with very low spec, but will that be enough? Is there a way to let me play the game for 2+ hours repeatedly every time? I don't mind restarting the game after that long. [link] [comments]
Is it still rentable to buy Anno 1800? Posted: 17 Jan 2021 04:03 AM PST Is it still rentable to buy Anno 1800 and start a Singleplayer? Or do you think i should wait for other games in 2021? [link] [comments] |
