[Anno 1800] How does Mme. Elise "The Nose" Bouquet work?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 06:06 AM PST

My chance for visitors is at 65%. As far as I understood, I will only get specialists from the special pool of Elise whenever a visitor arrives. So far, after equipping her, I only got legendary visitors of her pool (4-5 times since I got here). However, I just now got " Chief Superintendent Clifford " which is not part of that pool. Is this working as intended?

Returning player, a question about layouts :P

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 08:14 AM PST

Hello all and happy new year! I have just returned to game. I played the first two months of release and have no dlc yet. first thing I noticed is that you can now copy a whole layout of multiply buildings and fields!!! thats super awesome.

    But here comes the questions

    1. are there any mods or a way to save those layouts and use them at will without have to copy existent layouts?
    2. I read somewhere that you can now move clay pits and oil. Do I need a DLC for that option?

    Thanks

Quick Question About AI Relationship & Work

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 03:04 PM PST

    Hi,

I keep getting constant messages saying X's opinion of me is lowered because they don't like the high working conditions. That would be fair enough except that all my jobs that I have increased are ones that, thanks to trade union items, have no workers. Zero.

My question is basically is this meant to be the case or is it a bug or something? what's the point of no workers if I can't get that sweet 50% extra out of each without pissing off everyone?

Would anyone know if there is a possible work around for this?

OR is it possible that I have some small island somewhere that has it increased by 1% or something that I'm not aware of

    Thanks

Performance issues since a few days

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 02:11 PM PST

I've been playing the game for over 200 hours now, but suddenly my PC get's totally crashed by it. Don't get me wrong, most of these 200 hours are from the same savegame and my "empire" is pretty big by now and spread over all DLC worlds (season 1 and 2), and I thought that's why the lag appeared. Because my savegame is just getting too big.
    My system:
    Ryzen 7 3700X
    32 GB 3200 MHz CL16 RAM
    RTX 2070

While running the game my system is usually around 30% CPU and ~40% GPU (if even), by Task Manager. And around 24 GB of RAM usage.

Graphics settings doesn't really matter. Had all on low, and most on medium. Doesn't matter.
The lag is pretty heavy, in the form of low FPS (down to ~10) and my whole PC lagging. Can't even play Spotify or YouTube without distortion in the audio. And everything is just slower, even my mouse. Ending in me missclicking in game.

The lag doesn't appear instantly, but after playing some minutes it get's worse and worse. And the best thing: My PC stays laggy even after closing the game! Still can't play back audio without distortion!

Does anyone have any solution to my problem?

Anno 1701 on PC crashes after initial cutscene

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 02:09 PM PST

The game worked fine for 2 days and now always crashes after loading.

    1. I have it on epic games, but that's just way to get into Ubisoft's launcher

    2. I have verified game cache and all files verified

    3. Tried running as admin

The game loads fine and shows the initial "movie" but if I click it immediately crashes. If there is no input on the keyboard the entire cutscene plays without a problem.

Before the crash there is a black screen with the spinning hourglass. When it crashes, there is a message from Ubisoft connect that says "oh no it crashed" but provides zero context.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm puzzled because the game worked fine for days before and nothing changed overnight.
