Looks like it's time to wait for the next update.

I simply adore the worker/artisan district look. I present my little Elbinsel! Also an attempt at non-blocky building without any real plan.

    Docklands are perfectly balanced.

I wouldn't mind a warning or pop up when a docklands trade has completed

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 11:49 AM PST

So I guess this is my fault rather than the game's but I've had export contracts to trade like 1k of a good, forgotten about it while doing other things and come to see I've traded away all that good. Whoops.

Setting minimum stock works fine for end goods but not if its an intermediate good that you need going onwards.

I appreciate that I need to actually sit down and properly decide what my contracts will be but I don't think it's unreasonable for a pop up or something to notify you when a trade has finished for when you are doing a big trade to unlock a tier/good!

Otherwise in enjoying the DLC. I really like the Dock buildings and bonuses

Yeah, the Docklands are cool and all, but the clear hero of the update is...

    ...the dynamic fence/wall/hedge/etc placement.

This is an absolute game changer. Thank you for this!

Hi ! How much do mods decrease the nimber of FPS in the game ? Especially, which type of mod has the biggest effet (buildings, gameplay etc.) thanks

Tobias is squatting at my docks

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 12:50 PM PST

I just started with docklands and I have a really annoying bug. Whenever Tobias arrives he doesn't leave. He has been sitting at my dock for the past hour and hasn't moved, when I destroy the dock he is trading at he moves to another one and he immediately trades again, so I can now effectively do multiple trades in the span of minutes which is really broken. It also happens on every Island in Cape Trelawney and The Old World. Though this is quite a powerful exploit it really destroys game balance and makes the Docklands unplayable in my game. Am I the only one with this bug and is there a fix for this which doesn't include restarting my whole game?

One of the favorites cities I've ever built in any Anno. Gentlemen, welcome to Cascada Real.

So anyone unlocked the new ship yet?

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 01:29 AM PST

I haven't had time to properly delve into Docklands yet but I can't find much info on the new ship that was mentioned.

I heard it will be particularly suited to session-to-session travel. Just curious if anyone has unlocked it and has any info on it e.g. Number of trade slots, construction costs etc. Experience of using it.

    Thanks!

To the players that enjoy the logistics challenge part of the game: how would you increase the game difficulty?

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:04 AM PST

AS IN ANOTHER DIFFICULTY LEVEL OPTION, beyond hard for those who WISH. I don't wanna piss off people that just want a relaxed diorama builder.

This post is inspired by some other people posting their discontent with how docklands makes the game broken or too easy. IMO this is just a continuation of the trend set with crownfalls, the palace, bright harvest and research institute, which are probably the most praised DLCs not by coincidence.

My point is that these amazing boons to efficiency and productivity could be very rewarding and satisfying even to those that want a challenge (instead of a purely sandbox city builder focusing on aesthetics) IF ONLY the difficulty settings were adjusted accordingly.

What I want to know from you is specifically what and how would you tune the game so that Docklands, or any of the other powerfull DLCs, werent overpowered/broken, but maybe even necessary for survival, integral to overcoming the challenge ratjer than nullifying it.

If i ever get to learn to mod the game, I wanna have some extra ideas.
