Optimal amount of Investors for lower Royal Taxes Posted: 08 Apr 2021 06:00 AM PDT Good day fellow Annoholics, I got a problem with Royal taxes. After 4875 Investors per island, taxes are 40%. Now I do not care about income - I have more than enough gold, but it still bugs me. I usually use 1 Town Hall per island, and fill the inside of Town Hall radius with Investors only (+3 items, giving 80% income boost and providing with watches and jewellery). The problem is, filling one TownHall radius with Investors gives more than 4000 Investors population, which is 33%+ in damn taxes. On the other hand, I want to have more Investors not because of income, but because I need Influence points. So maybe there is some TownHall item to reduce the population? Which means, more houses (incluence), with less population? Also, it bugs me that if I have 5000 Investors, only 125 of them should be taxed at 40% (5000-4875)! Others should be taxed according to the Tax/Pop table. I mean, first 1k Investors should not be taxed at all. Its such injustice, no wonder they go on strikes so often. How do you manage your Islands/Royal taxes? [link] [comments]
game lag interfering with ingame timers Posted: 08 Apr 2021 12:20 PM PDT maybe this doesn't happen with everyones game, but i'm sure it does with those games that end up dragging and lagging. i know i can't be the only one it is happening to...wondering if anyone else has noticed 😂 because my game is dragging which is probably due to those ubisoft/Anno issues we all talk about, everything in my game is taking way longer than it should. Posted: 08 Apr 2021 03:01 AM PDT Ok so I haven't been able to play much today due to my health condition and an appointment, but that hasn't stopped me thinking about the game lol. I am still on my mission of getting enough scholars for 25k points per minute. I can't fit any more onto my Old World island so I am putting more in Cape Trelawney. At first I thought of putting them on their own island like I have in the Old World, but today I have been thinking about it more and I thought maybe I could use those little 'islands' on Crown Falls as mini scholar islands. As Crown Falls is huge and I only plan on have residential and cultural buildings there I have too much room so putting scholars on the mini islands there would not just take up space but might look cute. But as usual I just can't decide what to do, so I thought I would ask other players what they think. Make a separate island in cape Trelawney for my scholars or put them on the mini islands on Crown Falls? Also I have been planning on using Gas power plants for Crown Falls instead of Oil but I am willing to use Oil power plants for those mini islands since I don't want to railways on the main area and I don't want to run out of gas for power plants so if I have to use oil power plants to supplement power it would be only for those small island parts. BUT if I can use only gas power I would prefer that, I would love to know if its possible to power Crown Falls through gas alone. [link] [comments]
Easy AI an economic powerhouse?! Posted: 08 Apr 2021 08:22 AM PDT Hi everyone! I have a sandbox game with two easy AI opponents. I have several islands in the Old World and each AI only had two. I have several islands in the New World and each AI has only one there. I have a few islands in Cape Trelawney and the AI doesn't have any there. I have not gone to the Arctic or Enbesa yet. I have four developed and very productive islands in the Old World and two in the New World. I have a ton of artisans and I'm producing abundant amounts of everything, including the lucrative luxury goods. I don't have engineers yet - I am setting the table for them and will soon. The two AIs have way stronger economies according to the diplomacy screen. They don't have all of the fertilities on their islands so they can't produce everything themselves. Still, they have huge amounts of engineers and advanced production. Does the game just give resources and money to the AIs? My cities seem well organized and I'm at 100 percent efficiency with all of my production. This is my first run through - it's a bit hard to develop all of your islands simultaneously - I can do one thing at a time. Also I tend to spend a lot of time on the ornaments and fluffy stuff. Maybe the AI can outpace me because it does everything all at once? Any insight is appreciated! [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Apr 2021 02:22 AM PDT Hi, Is the wiki up to date on the neutral trader restock rate ? For example, Madame Kahina rates. I'm also looking for ketema rate, since they aren't on the wiki Thanks ! [link] [comments]

Where To Build Docklands Wharf On Crown Falls? Posted: 07 Apr 2021 06:13 PM PDT So I built my Docklands wharf on the large coastline, the one around the corner from where your trading post is automatically put when you get the island. However almost none of my ships go there, my trading post is on the other coast and I can't move it any further away. So should I just move my Docklands to another coastline or what? Edit: Ok so after so very simple testing that I should have done first I see all ships from the New World and Arctic arrive from the bottom left of the map so they are always going to go to whatever is on that main shoreline. So obviously it is the best place to have my Docklands wharf. Which now begs the question, what does everyone do with that massive long shoreline on the right side? Just old school depots? I Obviously Missing Something But Help Please! Posted: 07 Apr 2021 05:58 PM PDT So I am obviously missing something that is changing things but its driving me mad. My Scholars keep running out of goods, I have checked the statistics screen and I know they are being supplied with more than what the statistics screen says they need. For example if they need 20t of canned for per minute I make sure I'm supplying 22t, but they are still running out of canned food! Everything is supplied via Dockalnds import and I have done the calculations to convert their tones per minutes into tones per 20 minutes cycle and then added on extra just in case. Sunken treasures in coop DLC - how to get started with salvager? Posted: 07 Apr 2021 01:14 PM PDT Hi All, Quick Q about salvager in coop game. I never really got it working properly in the single player game due to what I think was a bug with Nate's quests. Now I am trying again with a friend and Nate's initial quests don't even seem to start at all. What is the best way to get going with the salvager? I don't really want to shell out $80k on a radar and $20k on a map... Thanks in advance for your advice! [link] [comments]
The harbor road system in this game is infuriating and I don't want to play the game because of it Posted: 08 Apr 2021 04:22 AM PDT This game is fun, and I've had it since release, but the old quay system was awful and the harbors DLC made it even worse with the new harbor roads system. I don't understand why I can't just make a flat quay at the furthest back point so I can make a flat coast. It makes no sense. I can handle the terrible performance and everything but the hideous roads just completely ruin it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Apr 2021 02:43 PM PDT Hey fellow gamers, playing vanilla Anno 1800 and got a steam turbine item (called Dynamo!?). I thought it would be best used on my coffee production cause my thirsty investors really like their coffee and in the old world I can just build power plants. I mixed it with a bit of other production boosts but can't see the electricity indicator (and production is way below 200%). Should it work on coffee roasters? [link] [comments] |
