Anno [Anno 1800] Question about Season Pass 3

Anno [Anno 1800] Question about Season Pass 3

[Anno 1800] Question about Season Pass 3

    Posted: 12 Dec 2021 02:16 AM PST

I have the base game and the first two season passes. I haven't played much at the time (never ended the campaign, 30h and 75%) and actually forgot about it, probably because I don't play much at all and I don't use ubisoft connect. Now I really wanted some good city managing game to play with and the giveaway of Anno 1404 reminded me "ehi but I got anno 1800, and it's good".
So, since I also have coins for discount I wanted to know if the Season Pass 3 is good enough to buy now or I can maybe buy it later because it doesn't change the game much, and I have to play the campaign from the start anyway.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated

After long Play Session, We both Crash everytime after 5 Minutes

Anno 1404 HE vs Original Release - which bugs remain, which bugs have been fixed?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 12:18 PM PST

I've been a long time fan of 1404, but turned my back on it after losing my player profile for the fourth time (with support refusing to help after over a year of correspondence).

Now that they're giving out History Edition, I wonder: what bugs have the fixed in it? Which bugs remain? Do I have to be worried about losing my profile progress in Venice if I play basegame?

Just bought the franchise pack on sale on steam. New to the series, any advice?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 11:59 AM PST

As I stated I bought the franchise pack on steam for like $35 (Anno 2070,1400 and 2207) I love playing city builders and saw these games are great despite the issues due to Ubisoft being Ubisoft.

What can I expect coming into this series? Is there any advice (for either game) that I should know before jumping in? What game of the three is the best? What one should I play first and why?

Thanks in advance! I'm open to any advice

    3* woes

    Posted: 12 Dec 2021 12:36 AM PST

A pity that for people who like to play against 3* there has never been a DLC or patch which would allow us to diversify our experience. Either providing new 3* (major work admittedly), or making so that any character can be picked with a difficulty between 1* and 3*.

So stuck playing with the same three.

[Ubisoft Connect] - The Venice expansion works, but the base game crashes

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 03:53 AM PST

    Hey all,

Has anyone run into this? I'm a completely new player (new to both 1404 and the Anno series), so I'm gonna need some kind of tutorial, but the Venice expansion doesn't seem to have one. When I try to launch the base game, it crashes to desktop. Here's what I've tried so far :

    • Launched the game from the .exe in the game folder, instead of the launcher - still crashes

    • Fiddled with the Engine.ini file, which another thread suggested ; specifically, changing the DirectX version from "0" to "9" - still crashes (plus, the .ini file for the Venice expansion also has "0" as the DirectX version, and it works fine)

    • Launched the .exe in administrator mode - still crashes

    • Reinstalled Ubisoft Connect and verified the game files' integrity - still crashes

So I'm hoping for a technical fix, but failing that, can anyone suggest a helpful YouTube video that will explain the game's mechanics and interface, so that I can just go ahead and play the Venice expansion?

    Many thanks!

Edit - Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB, Radeon HD 5700 (an old hand-me-down because my GPU fried and I'm certainly not buying a new one until things settle down)

1602 (Not HE, Ubisoft connect) custom scenario?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2021 02:57 AM PST

How to view custom scenario in this game? i found these maps, but no idea how to open in game. i tried this but not working.

i want to replay this just because of land armies but defaults map islands too small, idk if i have the time to learn making old game maps. hmm maybe just giveup trying and move on to 1404 instead?
